    Dear Mr. Jansen, thank you so much for this wonderful lesson. I watched part 1, 2 and 3 of the colour theory on your website and learned so much from you in just a few hours. I have always been good at drawing with pencil, but I never learned the technique of mixing colours, therefore all my drawings are always in black and white. This year for my birthday, I decided to take up some painting lessons, but due to COVID-19 pandemic, I couldn't sign up for any classes. One night I was searching for videos on TH-cam and I stumbled upon your 30 mins Roses lesson. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am to have found your channel and your lessons. I'm going to sign up and start my lessons and order my Paint It simply acrylic paints, they are so beautiful and creamy. I think this will be the best birthday gift I have ever gotten in my whole life. Thank you again. Sending you lots of blessings from Canada. See in the lessons. Cheers :)

    When working with paint, does the temperature work differently in acrylics than they do with oils? I ask, because there is a teacher who claims that acrylic paint does not allow the color to move like oil paints.

    • @JansenArtEducation
      @JansenArtEducation  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      High quality arcylics like the ones I use and oils use the same pigments. I have worked for oil compaines and acrylic companies as a chemist. They can and many do use exactly the same pigments, only the binder is different. I can slow acrylics down for several days drying. Sound like the teacher is using older acrylic colors. That has all changed.

      Hi Muhamad,
      Some of my techniques you can, but many you can not because I allow the paint to dry in some areas. I like the acrylics because I can get different effects as they dry. I used to paint in oils. Now I only use Heritage Acrylics.

    • @JansenArtEducation
      @JansenArtEducation  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      With this technique I don't see any problem with using oils because it is wet into wet. Oils will not work with the roses I did on the 30 day challenge for example because I work them dry. Anything that is wet in wet though you can use oils.
