You'd think banana farmers would have more efficient means for transporting their harvest to market. My guess is all these men hauling only one, two or three bunches of bananas are actually peddling stolen produce from some big plantation. Black market bananas, no pun intended.

In terms of safety, this is very dangerous. Does this particular country have proper traffic rules and regulations to follow? Government need to provide transports for buyers and sellers particularly for hardworking farmers. In my country of Papua New Guinea in the Pacific region, we have tough traffic rules. If anyone breaks the rules, imprisonment for 10 years. Only authorized by Transport department are allowed to drive, not make-ups and modified vehicles. Everything falls back to the government, if government not doing well then people not doing well as well. This is result of poor governance of this nation. Government's first priority is to put people's choice first rather than self-interest.
