This guy has two beautiful instruments which he uses nicely. His song writing shows a higher consciousness. Thanks for sharing these videos. I hope more people learn about him soon and I'm sure they will. I heard him on XM radio.
he's SUCH a nice guy!!! I met him at a music festival last summer and he offered to JAM... but alas, my cello was three hours away at my house. Broke my heart a little bit. Such an encouraging, genuine, inspiring guy.
This is a work of beauty and inspiration. One of the most beautiful pieces I've ever heard and I just love this song and talent to play it. A gifted artists for sure.
It's amazing to me your so talented and do such a wonderful job of bringing some real music to us, that isn't canned or exactly like every other song out here. I thank you for bringing beauty to this world.....
I'm not a cello fan per se. I'm converted. But that guitarist...he weaves in some amazing piece of his own to each song in these performances. They fit so well together.
If you watch the movie YERT, you will understand this song. It's about saving this Earth, the environment. It's not about Alzheimer's or forgetting. It's about the Creator coming to find what it created and it's gone...
It's all about the song, agreed. Beautiful song. Sounds like you are busting on the "guitar man." I rather like what the guitar man is playing and how he's doing it, so I'll disagree just on the importance/relavance of the performance of the musicians on a given day. I've heard several versions of this song and they are all unique a great, but I relisten to this set the most of Ben's performances. I'm a guitar man, though, if that makes any difference.
I love this song. I went to his concert and was in the front. he is so sensitive and loving. he always smiles. he even smiled at me
I could listen to this song all the time. His entire CD is amazing, but this, man this, is beyond beautiful.

Thanks for a great sound and picture. Captures Ben Sollee's work beautifully.

holy song ben
This song used to soothe me when my mom was losing it to dementia.
The guitarist, Craig Wagner, is amazing as well I've seen him play almost every style short of hard rock with remarkable fluency.

+Candice Wilmore Odd, he was on Stuff You Should Know awhile ago and said it was about Alzheimer's. Oh well, interpretations I suppose.
This right here is white gravy and buttermilk cat-head biscuits.
the song should be called "I saw God", but it is still a good name and song
Don't you like the sound of just him and the cello better though? with out all the other stuff..you know?
I think it's more about Alzheimers than God, so I think the title is perfect.
Craig Wagner is a beast
7 string guitar?

Alzheimers? I thik it's about God being tired and needing our help
