  • Buy it on Amazon: amzn.to/3oH8Vbj or Aliexpress: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_9zabva (Affiliate links) This is a review of one of the most affordable budget outdoor PTZ IP security cameras on the market. I got this from Aliexpress and it cost me $37 including shipping which is really cheap for a outdoor PTZ IP camera.

Important Note: this will NOT detect body heat to trigger white LEDs (in darkness), or trigger the alarm push notifications. There is no PIR sensor on this device. There is a photocell sensor to detect low light conditions, but this is not the same thing as a PIR sensor.
The description about the "3 night modes" is a little confusing. To clarify, when in low light conditions "OFF" means it will only use the IR lights, so images are black & white. "ON" means the white LEDs will remain lit full time, and images will be in colour. "AUTO" means that in darkness, the white LEDs will come on and it will record in colour if anything in the image changes.
Therefore, if you set it to "AUTO", and it is installed outside, in darkness, even the smallest change in the image such as a flying insect, a leaf blowing in the wind, or a rain drop flashing by, then the white LEDs switch on and it will switch to colour recording, and the white LEDs stay on for around 2 minutes. The white LEDs attract more flying insects if installed outside, so basically the white LEDs stay on constantly throughout the night.
Other than this drawback, it is a decent budget IP camera. It's not full HD recording, but daytime image quality is okay, probably 720P and not 1080P as advertised. The frame rate however is a bit low, maybe 10-15fps. It's a bit tricky to setup as local AP only (if no WiFi available), and some of the important settings are missing in this mode, but the app is fairly user friendly. Playback is not great either. The slidebar timeline is overly sensitive, and it is easy to skip too far. It also records in blocks if using a TF card, so you cannot always immediately view the past 3-5 minutes, but it does eventually allow you to view any moment captured on an internal TF card.
This is the best budget IP PTZ camera I have bought and tested, but some features in the camera and the app still need much improvement. If you have the money and want all the missing features, you should look at investing in a NVR with WiFi capabilities.
    Hope this helps somewhat.

Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even th-cam.com/users/postUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

The problem with all these cheap camera's these days is that they work with an app on your phone giving away all your privacy but if you simply want to setup the cam on a local ip network and acces it with a pc, then it becomes very hard.

I used to own one of these Besder camera's and binned it because it was incredibly unstable.
It would run for a few hrs then freeze for no apparent reason. I tried it wirelessly and
wired and even bought a wifi booster. Save yourself time and hrs of frustration and buy a
camera from a branded western company.

Even cheap cameras work great out of the box, but the key metric to consider when buying is longevity. Cheap infra-red LEDS always burn out, and rain and severe cold does damage them regardless of whether they claim to be weatherproof. If night vision is important to you, don't get a cheap camera. Best thing you can do is augment the weatherproofing yourself.

This camera has no zoom, so its not really a ptz, just a pt, but it also has audio and it has tracking, like if someone walks by it will follow them, very cool! Also I have it connected to my dvr security camera system, so it records to it instead of the cloud or sd card, only downside with this is it records 24/7.

Interesting that you pronounce 'Z' as 'zed' - as we do in Canada. Also, that the power adapter seems to have the same two prong plug as ours does, too...Cheers!

Great video. Question: do you need to be connected to the same internet as the camera in order to view what it sees or any internet connection will do. I have no internet where I want to place the camera so a repeater is an option but it creates a separate wifi and if I am at the other end of the house my phone and camera will be connected to two separate networks.

I have camera which looks like yours, the model is c-p05. Is it normal that the camera pans periodically to one side and than it moves also tilt up a bit and down a bit and than stabilise an working normally? Also, does this camera also track by tilt or just pan? Because my cam does not track by tilt. But at this moment camera is 1,70m above the floor and maybe is this why does not track by tilt, or just does not support tilt tracking? Thank you!

    • @ottofumbler7267
      @ottofumbler7267 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You're not wrong. It's to do with the hardware and software technology limitations.
Hardware: it does not have a PIR sensor, so it relies on the software to detect movement.
Software: it simply isn't smart enough to tell the difference between human movement and random pixel changes in the image.
To a camera, an insect/leaf/raindrop close to the lens is the same as a human further away, so it will translate this into "movement".
I'm sure in time as the technology gets cheaper, we'll start to see budget IP cameras with better detection capabilities.
I had a similar problem with a cheap "nanny cam" I setup to detect movement. The problem was, there were tiny power fluctuations in the IR LEDs which caused the picture image to blur, which it turn triggered the movement alarm. The problem never went away, even after putting it on the lowest sensitivity setting, so I turned off the motion detection alarm.

Longevity? What is it like with sun exposure on the plastic. Does it start to crumble after a few months or is it good under strong UV conditions? Id be interested to hear peoples experiences.
