If you've just started to learn Dutch, vlierbessen are elderberries, bosbessen are bilberries, and aalbessen are currants, more specifically zwarte aalbessen(blackcurrants)
rode aalbessen(redcurrants) and witte aalbessen(white currants).Other common fruits include abrikoos(apricot), perzig(peach), pruim(plum) and granaatappel(pomegranate).
And 'tros' is used for a bunch of fruit, while everything else that comes in a bunch, such as keys or flowers, is a 'bos', for example 'hebben een bos van hout aan de deur'
- to have a bunch of wood at the door. Which is a Dutch expression, meaning that a lady has a large cleavage :-)
