Watching you sip on your tea in state of pure relaxation and PRESENCE (+ the accompanying music)??? So peaceful. So, so peaceful. Serbia seems to be what fantasies are made of 🥺❤️
I always have a great time! I will say- I am experiencing Serbia as a tourist who’s vacationing- so I’d have to be here for at least 6 months to see how it really would be like!
Your retirement plan idea sounds like a dream! My husband and I are thinking of something similar, except he is from Slovenia and I am from Nigeria. Happy new year!
Hey girl! Your blog shots are just getting better and better! It’s good to see you back in Serbia spending time with your family. Happy New Year and blessings to you all 💜
That pose in the purple robe at 9:09 was a serve! 🙌🏽 And, I’m happy I recognized the “Da” at 4:08 as “Yes” because I’m learning Russian right now. I know you’re learning Serbian, but there are so many linguistic similarities between Russian and Serbian since they share such closely intertwined histories and both use the Cyrillic alphabet. Lastly, I permanently have “kuvano vino” for “mulled wine” engraved in my brain now due to how many times you have mentioned it in your Serbia vlogs over the past couple of years, including this one. 😂
I mean we like russians but our histories are not so intertwined, we were completely independent of each other in seperate spheres for 95% of our histories until 1800's when we became really close.
At the beginning of this video I wondered if you would ever move to Serbia. You look and sound so well everytime you are there. And then you mention it!!!! ❤️
I'm not Tanzanian like you are slim, but I've been there. It would be soooo lovely to see you and your family in Stone town and Nungwi or Kendwa enjoying your country. I wouldn't blame you for not filming in your familys place or on the mainland for privacy reasons, but please take Dan there. He would absolutely love it. It's probably cheaper to fly from Serbia. There are many Serbians there as well. It doesnt have to be an expensive luxury trip. Anyway, once again this is a chilled beautiful video ❤
Thank you so much! We did have plans for this summer to go back home but unfortunately they fell through- so we are planning for 2025 a huge family trip to TZ! Of course I’m going to share and film when I’m there ☺️ and yes a lot of the Serbs enjoy TZ!
Yes, experience this time! I always worry when content creators post a lot, while on a family vacation. This is your life, not a TV show! I’m close to retirement age. I have 2 nephews in France, who are mid-20’s. My other 4 nephews are young children. I’ve been researching Portugal for several years. I have a dream of bouncing around, and discovering more of the African continent as well. I’d love to go to Zanzibar!!! The stress in the US makes it harder for people to be their natural, giving selves. It takes a village to raise a family. In the US, it seems you only have your mother. This is significant, but it should be the whole family and community helping you. It was more this way when I was a child, in the 70’s, in the US.
aww, happy to see you happy mariam!! your videos always cheer me up. and yes, you do look super fierce in your magenta robe and bunny slippers 👑 . happy new year cutie! may Allah SWT bless you and your lovely family.
Hello Slim, I was just thinking about you and your family it’s been a minute. And God behold your vlog popped up! 🥰 I just want to know is things cheaper in Serbia? I’m glad you are loving it there. You seem to be so more relaxed too. The pace there seems so calm and laid back. ❤ Happy New Year’s Eve, Slim and family.❤❤❤❤
Heyyyy! Thanks for watching ☺️ And some things are cheaper in comparison to things in the States. Just depends! And this is one of my happy places for sure. The culture, the people and the food are amazing 🤗
Well Vickie, Serbia can be as cheap as you want or as expensive as you want 😁. For example, Slim's in-laws are living in the suburbs of Belgrade, I can recognize it because it's my neighborhood too 😁, so in that particular area the price for an apartment of about 1000 square feet is somewhere around 200,000€, for let's say 500 square feet the price is close to 130,000€. And the prices go up the closer you get to the center of the city. The same goes for the prices of renting, you can go as low as 300-400€ or as high as a couple of thousands. As for the groceries, I'm not sure, but I don't think that there are a lot of differences, except that here the prices of groceries that are considered to be essential, like bread, milk, cooking oil and similar, those prices are regulated by the government so I believe they are a lot cheaper. For example a loaf of bread here is around 50-60¢. One thing that is a lot pricier is electronics like laptops, ipads and such. On the other hand, internet is pretty affordable, you can have decent flat rate internet speed for 20$. Mobile service is also very affordable at 10-40$ depending on the type of service. Leisure and entertainment are also much cheaper than the US. A cup of coffee in a decent cafe is around 2-3$, but have in mind our coffee is much smaller than the Starbucks one, and we like to drink our coffee with friends at the cafe although you can get it to go. You can have a nice meal at a restaurant with a drink or two for as low as 10$ but you can also go as high as a couple of hundreds I hope this helps a little, take care
@@VodeniZeka THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CLARIFY THIS QUESTION, IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED! I live in the STATES, in VIRGINIA where things here are very pricey but, we are blessed! Have an awesome week!
Start that retirement plan right now!!🎉🎉 Cheers to a happy 2024 for your little trio. I adore your Serbia Vlogs just the way they are and you do seem your best self there - really consider moving!
