It is almost heartbreaking how a mediterranean-archipelago fantasy setting coupled with soothing soundtracks can be so... Inspiring. Blue Rose, Earthsea, some lands of Greyhawk, so many different worlds that can generate magnificent dreams thanks to these videos. Outside the battles, outside the ambushes and dungeon robbings, there are many journeys and rest moments. And these videos perfectly encapsulate the feelings someone may live in those moments.
There is a certain magic to "mundane fantasy" that i find is often disregarded by the bigger settings. "Kitchen Sink Fantasy" tends to focus on a few amazing traits and beyond that its usually really reductive. In my experience everyplace has awe-inspiring parts if you take the time and effort to actually look. Its something i try to infuse my writing and descriptions with as possible. And over the years these videos have been a constant reminder on that 😊 I live near the areas inspiring the pictures in this video. A plain near the edge of the Alps. And if you take a detour 5 to 10 minutes from the interstates you can stumble on treasures. Overgrown altars in forested valleys. A slowly sinking swamp castle from the 1700s that storks started nesting in. Etc ad infinitum
As someone who used to do a lot of hiking, but has not been able to because of both an injury and now a surgery for that injury, this made me both happy and sad. Regardless of my own feelings, it's beautifully done as usual, and I appreciate the art and joy you bring in these videos.

Just got back from a week in the Scottish highlands, hiking mountains in the spring, whiskey, a great group of mates and all our dogs! Was the best week and now I come home to this wonderful playlist to get me through the post holiday blues! Thank you Blue Turtle

Been a while since I wondered into your lair, it amazes me how well you capture pirenaic scenes, it feels so close, I’ve seen the same patterns of mountains and hiked through valleys just the same a thousand times. It’s, the odd lichen and the fossil gravel pits; as an artist, I can but hope to be able to imitate

Just came back from an extended spring hike that was almost entirely rainy and even had hail and snow... now I wish even more it had been like this!
On the day this came out, I wrote more than a thousand words for my book series and this playlist has become the music i use to write it.
