Project【emU】is the soundtrack revival project by Hiroyuki Sawano.
In this time, he has arranged a suite of music for the soundtrack of the TV animation “Attack on Titan” which is the work he composed.

Yep this is not the original recording it's a recorded performance. These suite had some of the OST used in the show. I can break it down below on what we heard.
0:59 The first song/OST is called ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn ＜WMId＞from season 3 soundtrack. The singer is Eliana, and this song was actually a new version of the original main theme in season 1 simply called ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn. The original singer was Mika Koyabashi for season 1. Both versions are similar, but this season 3 version obviously has a different singer and there were more lyrics for the season 3 version. The season 1 version had more noticeable EDM and rock, but those were drowned out more in the season 3 version. Not sure how far you are in the show, but this season 3 version first plays in Season 3 episode 13.
5:15 is called Before Lights Out from season 3 soundtrack. It's a vocal arrangement of the season 2 OST APETITAN. Before Lights Out has not been used in the main show so far, as we never hear the singing in the show yet. But the season 2 OST APETITAN has been used many times and its other variants.
7:51 is called K2 from season 3 soundtrack. Played a lot in the early episodes of season 3. As a fun fact there is another season 3 OST called K21 that is a vocal rap version of K2
10:07 is called YouSeeBIGGIRL/T:T from season 2 soundtrack, specfically the second half. It was used for the Armored Titan and Colossal titan reveal scene, but also for another transformation scene in season 2 episode 5 (trying to not say it outright in case of spoilers, but it's called you see big girl... so it involves a female shifter in season 2 for the episode 5 scene).
This OST is a new version of the season 1 OST called Vogel im Käfig (specifically the second half of the OST), which played in scenes like in season 1 during the levi squad vs female titan scene, leading up to Eren vs Female Titan in the woods.
This season 2 version has a different singer, and had more drums and synth.
13:18 is cóunter・attàck-mˈænkάɪnd from season 1 OST, specifically the first half of it. The second half of this OST has more epic choir and dramatic grandeur, similar to the main theme you first heard in the video. This OST is used many times through the show. A new version was made in season 2 called ERENthe標 (the second half of it to be specific being similar to what you just heard. The first half of it is new and original).
16:25 is Apple Seed from season 3 OST. It was played in season 3 during the colossal titan transformation scene. So previously we heard the second half of YouSeeBIGGIRL/T:T at timestamp 10:07. Well Apple Seed is a vocal version of the first half of YouSeeBIGGIRL/T:T.
If you want more of this style, the composer is japanese composer Hiroyuki Sawano for season 1-4 known for making epic and powerful music. Season 4 music was mostly written by KOHTA YAMAMOTO, a student of Sawano, though Hiroyuki Sawano did compose some remixes of old OST to be included for the season 4 soundtrack. One of which includes a third version of the main theme, called ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn＜TFSv＞ (TFSv stands for the final season version).

Love the reaction and yes (I know my comment is late as hell-rechecking music enthusiasts with AoT ending coming up), it is epic as hell. The music is epic as F-word (not sure if the audience here). I literally cry every song time I hear this live version of Counter Attack. Once you watch the show, you get it. My heart strings are pinged. 💚💚💚
AoT has my favorite soundtrack of anything I have ever watched. I happily listen to it for hours at a time. It’s insane.
I really wish they had gotten the rapper for K21 (3rd song) for this video though.
Not the same recording of the soundtrack, when you watch the show again you'll see that it was mostly instunmental. I think it's why this suite gives me even more chills coz it's an updated take on all the songs that hit so damn hard in the anime. Still same vibe...but more human emotion, and all the singers freaking vocals! My god they're perfect.

A new season of Attack on Titan is releasing March 3. So it's a good time to rewatch the series if you haven't in a while. The first song in this suite is the titular song ("Attack on Titan") for the entire show, so it shows up a lot in many scenes which you probably never noticed because it's so good at giving that tension and "oh shit" feeling. But if you rewatch you see how often it's used. I love how the drums supports all these songs. Just proves that they don't have to be super flashy or complicated to be powerful influences.

AoT is interesting with their music, one of the main songs youseebiggirl is broken into segments for different scenes
The electronic sounds and techno instruments are being recorded live as well by the keyboard player yamamoto who took over composing for the show in s4
Not totally unfamiliar since there are some really fantastic drum parts in this performance. After watching this and going back to the show you’ll find you hear the music a lot more often and it becomes much more meaningful. Then come back and watch this and it just gives you chills.
You say that the drums are not that present, but I think that’s an illusion. Sawano has managed to incorporate everything so well that it feels like ONE piece of music. The Drums are actually really important on many of these songs.

I think hiroyuki sawano like the AOT anime because hes stuff so fit in the AOT story
if you enjoy these osts I highly suggest to rewatch the anime and just focus on when they're played, but some scenes I recall are the first episode when the titans attacked, when reiner and bertholdt transformed, when floch tried to destroy the ship, hange in the 2nd to last episode, and the final episode had plenty of osts, not these exact ones but they were also really good

Hiroyuki Sawano and Mika Kobayashi are some one-of-a-kind individuals.
Especially when its about youseebiggirl (second half of this over 6min long song shown here at 10:07), it sounds just like the version you hear in the anime that gives you the hardest chills ever. (transformation-scene of reiner and berthold on wall rose in season 2)
The part where the vocals meets the synth bending- dear love this part never fails to give me goosebumps.
Also Mika's high notes and timing (live and in recordings) are extraordinary. You definitely have to listen to it. The way Hiroyuki had a feeling to when add and layer what kind of sound, vocal, instrument is just wow.. love the way he worked with isayama hajime (the mastermind behind Shingeki no Kyojin) is just next level.
But keep one thing in mind:
Isayama Hajime loves to crush our hearts. And to give us trauma and finest ptsd. You hear a sound and your heart drops as los as hell goes because you know some big shit gone happen and you're.not.ready.for.it!
