Bounce mode aka "free driving assist" (although it doesn't mean Mercedes will help you drive this rig for free) is basically a feature found on the GLS and the GLE which, when enabled, helps get you out if you are bogged down whilst offroading...at least that's what exactly 7 seconds of Google research showed me.
