    Hi we have recently relocated from Singapore (native of south India) to Birmingham. I have been watching some of your videos. this particular one reflected some of our feelings exactly. Especially the jay walking can never happen in Singapore. Being in Birmingham I often feel the missing home feel of weather and infrastructure advancements which Singapore has given us. Your videos are really insightful and useful for many new migrants like us. keep doing the good work both of you.

      Yellow light give the feeling of warmth and comfort like sun or a fire place. People living in cold countries fell it but hard to explain to people who live in hotter countries. As mentioned in the video we also used to feel why these dull lights but with time one feel the effect of these light. Rest you can Google for the psychological reasons.

    You should have been in England back in the 60s things were a lot harder. Lot more snow, hardly any Indians or any Indian shops. If things are better in Indian than all youngsters should remain in India and make the country a better place. I feel sad to see that the country that provided you with the education is now been brain drained.

    • @DesiCoupleinLondon
      @DesiCoupleinLondon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would like to share another prospective. The money Indians earn from outside send dollars pounds to their home country which helps build the foreign reserve for India which in turn helps in development of India.

      Not every talented person goes abroad. It's not that no talent left in india.. kuch students jate hain, aur ye IIT IIM wale jate hain, but not all, wahi jate hain jinhe campus se FB Twitter Google Microsoft wagera hire karte hain.. humare 75 unicorns hogaye , sabse zyada start ups india me aye hain last kuch years me . 2025 tak 100 unicorns ka Target tha jo aram se cross kar jayega.. talented indians are rocking both in India and abroad.. in few years almost every big company will have and Indian CEO leading the company..

      Very well said! Life was very tough for us growing up back in 70’s and 80’s here also, but this couple doesn’t ask older people how life was here. Maybe they don’t have the opportunity to do so. Life is much easier now for Indians coming here, but it is so very sad that they don’t have the determination to remain in India.

    The biggest shock is when you realise you don't see white English people as much as you expect in country like UK. I didn't feel like I'm in another country. You might think the Asians there would be very well educated but not. They are brought initially as workers so they were not educated. Even next generation has not adopted to the culture. UK doesn't feel like a well-gelled population. You don't get to experience white culture because they do not involve you. All interactions are mostly in office and pubs. In short you are missing that interaction. The city is old obviously and nothing new will happen there. It always cloudy and you will miss sunlight. Didn't feel like making a life there so finally came back to India.

      100% सही कहा।भारत में बढ़ती जनससंख्या सभी समस्यायों का कारण है।जिस देश में हम पले-बढ़े, जहाँ से हमने सबकुछ लिया अब हमारा भी कर्तव्य बनता है कि हम अपने देश की समस्याओं के निराकरण के लिए सहयोग करें नाकि विदेश जाकर आराम की ज़िन्दगी जीने में ही सुख मानें।
