If anyone ever said to me, "I just don't get the big deal about Bruce Springsteen," I would show them this video. And if they still didn't get it, then I'd figure they had mush for brains.
Yeah I have a handful of videos I keep in mind for that purpose and you're right I think this belongs on the list!
The album version is like someone telling you something that happened just last week. This version is someone recounting an old memory.

What would my the world be like without all the musical pleasure Bruce has given us? This version is amazing. He sits there front of 30,000 people, loses the melody, laughs it off, and makes the song all that more memorable!

My senior year of high school was 1985. This was way before streaming music and we were hostages of whatever music the radio played. There were three major artists coming out of the radio during the 80’s-Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Bruce Springsteen.
Now to each their own but all I have to say about that is-Thank God for Bruce Springsteen. :-)

Sat next to him in Tampa at a horse jumping contest, his daughter Jessica was performing. Couldn't believe not one 20 something knew it was BRUCE.. I got a picture with him and can honestly say he is far more good looking in person. Also you could FEEL his presence if that makes sense.. only other person i noticed that with was Meeting Jack Nicholson in 2009 at side burns..
Wow, that is incredible. I sat next to Woody Allen at a New York Knicks basketball game when I was 11 years(1974) old, but sitting next to Bruce really takes the cake.
