- Ukrainian President Zelensky slammed his Western allies for taking too long to make key decisions on sending military aid to Kyiv.
Zelensky said he wanted his partners to be more directly involved in the war, but understood they were wary of antagonising Russia. He suggested ways in which allies could help more directly, including by shooting down Russian missiles over Ukrainian territory.

I don not understand the changing narrative. Sometimes ago, we were told that Russian does not and could possibly not have any superiority over Ukraine militarily as long as the West provides Ukraine with military support. Now the WSJ has is asking how Ukraine can change its fortune on the battle because lo and behold the Russian Military has now gained superiority. The fact of the matter is Ukraine has no chance and never had a chance but for the unprecedented military aid it is receiving from the West. It is now clear that even with this support it is doomed.

President Zelensky was correct to say that Ukraine would fight to the very last Ukrainian. Ukraine should care less about elections and should mobilize all its 18-60 year olds to fight and the EU should send those Ukrainians living in the EU back to Ukraine for military service immediately. Ukraine doesn't need elections, it needs to fulfill Zelenskys prophecy. He's doing a good job reducing Ukraine's population.

F-16 will not change a big thing, because they are 50 years old and it seems they want to get rid of them. But still they are not sending because Ukraine's situation is changed...
There's been multiple examples of old things being upgraded ( B-52s, TU-95s, M1 Abrams, T-72s, F-16s MIG-29s) so the age of the equipment isn't the issue, cause it can always be upgraded to modern standards. The problem is that Ukraine gets western equipment in such small numbers that it doesn't even make a difference.
The reason they are sending them the F-16s is that they can no longer get spare parts or replacements for the Russian MIG aircraft. It isn't that the F-16 is going to be a game-changer. Its that the F-16 is the best choice to replace the fighters they are currently running out of.
Also bad for PR if they send f-16s and they get shot down. The US is already losing face because of the Abrahams.
F-16 will make a huge difference. Its age does not matter. F-16 will allow western weapons to be fired from airplanes. Things like small diameter bombs, anti radiation missiles and even glide bombs can be dropped from F-16s. ATACMs are paving way for F-16s as most of Russia's long range air defenses like S-400 are destroyed in Crimea. Many airplanes in Crimea are also taken out. The West focused on winning Crimea first before looking at Russian occupation in East.

That is correct. His term is over and there is no way within the Ukrainian Constitution to continue it. Zelensky had an unconstitutional law passed (The Martial Law Act) which bans nearly all elections in the country. But the law didn't extend the terms of people in office.

Our country already has trainers and special forces on the ground. They are actively fighting and dying in large numbers. NATO's ability to shoot down Russian missiles was showcased about a year ago when Russia sent a volley of drones and missiles at Ukraine and hit multiple targets. The last couple of missiles were hypersonic and took out the patriot system.

Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity.
In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time
Russia's national security was compromised once nato began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining nato was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security.
