Thank you for sharing another video of Pap and Paul. We can only imagine how beautiful it's going to be when God's children are all together singing and rejoicing for The Almighty King! Blessed! 🤗🙏💕
I love this , and all the songs. Makes me want to cry when I see your daddy. I miss mine and I know you miss yours. I try to listen to this every Saturday morning. Grannie loves to sing and she is so sweet. God bless
I enjoyed this so much! My Momma would play the guitar and she and my daddy would sing this song to us! So many times I've heard this! Pap and Paul have such beautiful voices! I never tire of hearing them! God Bless you Paul... I know Pap is with the Lord! ❤❤👏👏😁😁
I have just recently found this channel, and what a blessing it has become to me. I play so many of these everyday. My favorite music of all of it. The harmony and guitar playing is amazing.
What a beautiful song. Thank you for sharing it with us. My husband has had a cold. I told him his problem was that he hasn’t been outside to catch a leaf in his hand!🍁
I truly enjoy listening to the music you all sing and play your musical instruments. Brings back to early memories when I was just a young man when my uncle and his friends would get together and sing these old time beautiful songs.
Wow.. nicely done. Great harmony and excellent pickin. Liked this a lot. (And you were correct - written by Lewis Marshall Jones - also known as Grandpa Jones)
Yes this song was played on our front porch as a child many neighbors and friends came to sing and pick and give God some nice Mountain music. Love you all!
beautiful singing and harmony i play guitat would love to jam with your family this how i wasw taught to play with soul and meaning you can hear the words in the music
"The only thing you'll take is what you gave away", so much truth in that line of the song. So wonderful to view these videos on here. I have watched many of them long ago and came back to listen, yet again. ♥♥
Hi, Mandolin1944. Thanks for the comment. The bass player is closest to the camera and just out of frame. That's why the bass is a touch loud. My sister, Tipper Pressley, is playing the bass. I'm the one singing and playing lead (just thought you might want to know who's replying to you). Thanks, Paul
Great song well done , marvellous harmony ,as an ageing learner guitar player I love the solo but I can’t see your fretting hand to try and copy and my ear is not good enough to figure it out it . I would pay for a copy of that tab if it was possible . Anyhow thank you for the music.
Hi, Sam. Unfortunately, I don't know how to read or write tab. The best I can offer is to post a close-up video showing the solo. I will have some time off for Christmas, and I'll try to get the video up sometime between the 21st and January 3rd. Thanks for the nice comment and your interest in the solo. It was just something kind of random that I put together just before we filmed this, but I do like the way it sounded, a bit of a southwestern sound. :-)
I wish you could post the lyrics, as this is a bit different on one of the verses than the original. Love the words, but cannot figure out the line that goes " Thinking of the friends he lost for love of gold, and how the hurting (?heart?) has never yet been told". I cannot quite hear or figure out the words after hurting....
Hi, Darrell. That line is, "...and how the hurt he caused has never yet been told." One of the saddest lines in the song, in my opinion. Thanks for listening and commenting. :-)
This is awesome!! Just my style. I went to the CD site but it says it isn't there anymore. I would love some CDs Love the recipes too I love everything about this website. Thank you so much for the great job.
We have an uncle who was a masterful guitar player who is in the same situation. He is the one playing lead guitar on "Oh, Why Not Tonight?" "I Won't Have to Cross Jordan Alone," and any of the other songs on our channel featuring electric guitar. He can no longer play, and being able to play is certainly something I should not take for granted and be thankful for, because I know if won't always be this way.
Thank you for sharing another video of Pap and Paul. We can only imagine how beautiful it's going to be when God's children are all together singing and rejoicing for The Almighty King! Blessed! 🤗🙏💕

🎶🎼🎵I’m sure Pap is singing and playing in the great choir in heaven.👋🙏❤️🙏👋Jennifer Thanks for the beautiful music and song.

There’s no harmony like you get with kinfolk. No one can harmonize with me like my momma could. I miss singing with her soooo much.
Beautiful song to wake up to on this crisp fall day. Happy November Wilson family!
I feel the same.❤
❤
This is a beautiful song and love to hear Paul and pap's harmonies.

You've got good eyes! It is Corie and Paul 🙂 Thanks for watching!! That's Pap-Paul and Tipper's daddy with them.
