In Germany is one word for "the spilled coffee situation". It is called forfuereffect (Vorführeffekt). It describes a situation, when you want to show something new/exciting and then something unpredictable happens. Forfueren (Vorführen) means "to show" If you say it after something like this happens, it offen make other people smile out of empathy, because they can relate to it very well.

Hi Ro, i'm a 14 yrd old, and im in anorexia recovery for the first day after 2 years dealing with various eating disorders.I'm not being guided by a nutricionist but by my family, i have to stay home, without seeing my friends, without going to school and without phone, without exercise, without really going out with anybody.
And i wanna thank you for popping up in my youtube reccomendations because i watched some videos from your channel and it's so comforting listening to you and seeing that im not alone.
I send you a super kiss from spain, and i think you channel is going to help me so much, because i wanna go back to who i was before this, before my eating disorder, i am more than that and i wanna be as strong as you, because i deserve enjoying every piece of food i want, and every piece of food my body needs, i am more than my body and my weight, and i need to be healthy to become the best version of myself, because i deserve being the best version of myself, and being underweight is not the right way, because that will make me quit the things that i love, and i don't want to do that, i have to do it for myself, and maybe some days will be hard asf, but i have to make throught them because they are worth it to recover and truly enjoy life again.

If someone would have told me that a young lady half my age would help me heal my relationship with food after 43 years of disordered eating. . . I would’ve said that sounds right because women are bloody amazing. Many things have helped me on my journey - but you Ro? You helped me cross the finish line. In the last year I’ve healed my relationship with food. It is lovely and neutral to me now. I enjoy it - I eat whatever I want or my body says it needs. I work to get my veggies in, because I love myself and vegetables make me feel good. But no food is restricted. Ever. I eat whatever I want - and I feel calm and “normal” around food for the first time since I was a little child. I made it. It’s freeing. And you’ve helped and continue to help so much. Thank you amazing Ro.

It's a small indulgence (in the mildly frivolous expenditure sense, NOT anything nutritionally related) but I love buying myself new boxes of different, nice granolas. Each box is like a little present and small excitement. Their other flavours look good too. Thanks for the nudge!

I think you are just amazing! I am following you from Germany and I've just eaten breakfast "with" you. What annoys me is that some people in my personal environment keep claiming that their obsession about being skinny is not about beauty, but about health (which is nonsense, I think). For me, this sometimes triggers a fear of being or becoming unhealthy because I eat so much more then them, and also more of the food that doesn't fit into their "low carb ideology". But rationally, my weight is totally healthy, I am doing a lot of sports and there is nothing to worry about. To be honest, I rather think it is THEM whose eating habits are unhealthy, because they keep restricting etc.
Last year, I moved out from home and stopped eating any sweets etc. for almost 4 months. What happened is that I lost my period, even though my BMI was still not underweight. So I stopped and reinstated my old (balanced) eating habits. Now, I am feeling a lot better. What I want to underline is: everyone is different, our genes and lifestyles are different and some people simply need more fuel than others. The healthiest way of living is intuitive eating without restriction!
Keep going, Ro! You are doing amazingly well!

I just finished writing (by hand) a book on all my scientific theories on the human body and brain! I even made the cover by myself! Science distracts me from restricting too much. And daddy is so excited to read it! He’s a scientist.
