Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most beautiful and favoured hikes in Nepal. The trail is breathtakingly gorgeous and you come across the views of the Machapuchare and Annapurna South.
This is the complete narrative of how I did the Annapurna Base Camp trek in Nepal- my first-ever high-altitude trekking adventure.
My entire spendings on ABC were approx. NPR 18,000 (Pokhara to Pokhara), which reaches INR 11,500. The most profitable part was we did the entire trek without any support. So yes, going here solo or without a guide is possible.
Some details about the cost are given below -
1. Permits: ACAP and TIMS cards can be purchased in Kathmandu and Pokhra for NPR 1,600
2. Buses, Shared Jeeps and Private Taxi are available from Pokhara to Ghandruk
3. Food: One meal in the mountains costs around 600 NPR
4. Stay: Cost per bed ranges from 250 NPR to 500 NPR

I did ABC in 1989.. 2 years before I did my HMI basic and then advanced courses.. no passports visas permits were required then.. from pokhra we headed to Fedi.. started trekking upto Dhampus.. landruk.. captains lodge Himalaya n MBC...n finally ABC.. I'm just amazed to see so many new resting places tea houses clean beds n all.. even the roads in some places looks much wider.. congratulations

How you get room so cheap like 200-500 is it price so less? No breakfast and lunch? You only dinner bro? Can you take tent? What equipment you took and cloths cost please.. Too many qieation but olz replay i subscribed 🙃
Yes 3 day up and down. 6 day cost will be 10-12k. Rooms are very cheap if you take sharing room. Breakfast lunch dinner included. I don't think you need tent in this trek. You'll get good options to stay.

Unfortunately, from 1st April 2023, trekking permit can be obtained only through registered trekking operators. Nepal Tourism Board won't issue permit directly to trekker.
And for this reason the cost increases very much.

Any guidance on how to make the trip now? How to identify proper trekking operators without being scammed? Would it be on spot in pokhara or Kathmandu or can it be done online as well?

@@aritralucifer21 you can book online through TrektheHimalaya, indiahike Or Thrillophilia and join the trekking groups, it'll be very cheap.
If you want to book trekking guide just for your group you can do it in pokhara but it'll be a bit costly

You can do it, the facilities in this trek are pretty good like the accommodation and food. Just train your legs and lungs well. Do not rush, keep the trek slow and steady to avoid AMS.

You'll get the route map with the permit itself. Or else you can ask in any trekking shops in pokhara. I'll suggest december mid as a good time because the sky is very clear during this month

You require a basic fitness level, you should be able to run at least 5km in 35-40 min

I got trek permit without trek/travel insurance through one of the trekking company. They took 500 NPR Extra as service charge. Total I paid 1500 NPR For Permit. And Just needed passport and photo.
3 of us planning to do ABC trek without guide, If we start from Pokhara on Day 1 morning, will we be able to reach back to Pokhara by Day 6 evening?
I am asking this because we have exactly 6 days for trek and we have to board the flight at KTM on day 7 afternoon.

Yes you can, make sure you guys are fit, can run 5km in 30 min comfortably. And start each day very early. The it's easily doable.

The whole car from Pokhara to Ghandruk will cost around 5000 INR,
Bus will cost around 500 INR per person
