      My advice is to charge the enemy with a pistol without strafing yelling "FEEL MY POWAAAAAA!" into the mic. Guaranteed to improve after 1000 deaths.

      Positioning was mentioned but to be more specific something which massively improved my K/D back when I used to play Battlefield 4 daily was being aware of your exposed angles. You could be taking cover in a building but if there's two doors and three windows it's so easy for someone to get the drop on you. This works for Halo as well where getting the first shot can be key.

    Back on black ops 2, one thing that helped me was not moving the joy stick at all up or down when you spawn in. Worked better on the flat maps but definitely helped me get out of the habit of looking at the floor

    Man Im kinda surprised not see someone say to know when to actually stop playing this is the most significant tip other than lowering your sensitivity and bumper jump, dont keep playing if you are frustrated take a break try only playing fps games for 3 to 4 hours you'll notice that when you first jump on your timing and aim is at its best. Thanks frothy omen

    For me: Game mode on TV/good latency of the screen as well as proper positioning in front of the monitor (I play on a 27" IPS monitor exclusively now, excluding retro for obvious reasons :D ).
    What I learned over the years is to sit as far away as you can from the TV/monitor so that you don't have to move your head when to see the whole screen. I often see friends who are terrible at FPS because they have to "scan" their screen by moving their head every time something explodes or they get hit by an enemy bullet. ;)
    Reducing your head movement or if possible even bring your HUD closer to the center (some games - especially on PC - have that as an option) will for sure also improve your skill in every FPS. :)

    the tip at 7:09 is a huge key too. not a first-person, but splatoon was my entrance to shooter pvps and ive loved it all the way. yet now im trying borderlands 3 and waaaay completely different play styles.
    a continuation of that, make sure u enjoy the play style of your specific game and u enjoy learning the strats and techniques for it!! if ur not having fun, ur gonna burn urself out and/or get mad cus u can only focus on the downsides. make it enjoyable for urself :)

    • @siribubz
      @siribubz ปีที่แล้ว

      trust me, i had to witness an old friend try splatoon with us again and again but all she could focus on was how difficult it was or how bad she was etc, dropped the game within a few weeks iirc. not worth pushing if ur not enjoying!

    For me it was not using someone’s sense but try my own. This is what I did and it helped a lot! First you have to get out your old sense from your head so you go into custom games and turn the sense all the way down and get used to that for like 20 min. Then you do the opposite and turn it all the way up and use that for about 20 min then you slowly lower it down and try to keep the x higher then the y. This may change for different people. Hope this helped!!

  • @username6127

    First tip: If you have even a couple of friends available, have them play with you. You'll be more likely to just mess around, communicate and have fun during the match. And as a plus you'll be less likely to get teammates who quit mid game and get tilted. (Or at least in my case. Seems to happen a lot for me when playing solo...)
    Second tip: Don't ever forget about your secondary weapon. I've definitely had more than a few times where my secondary weapon has actually saved me in some sketchy situations rather than waiting to reload my main one.

    Click heads unironically helped me improve more than just about anything else.
    Started pc gaming playing overwatch, and I was absolutely horribly at kbm. Tunnelvisioning on headshots with mccree has helped me a lot over the years.
    Other fantastic tips were crosshair positioning and lower sensitivity.

  • @Drennshere
    @Drennshere 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Learn to claw or have some paddles (I highly recommend both after I learned to use both and I saw my k/d sore up),
    Strafing and getting muscle memory for your sensitivity, understanding of map control, learning button combos, Gandhi hopping, animation canceling, crouch hopping, toggle off for crouch(my preference more or less), and having the high ground
    Most of that’s for halo on Xbox tho

    Something I always worried about in any kind of multiplayer was being humiliated. Whether it was by myself or by someone else. I would try to improve and form strategies solely to prevent any kind of humiliation from happening. It would also affect how I treated other players. Once I realized that it’s not the end of the world if it happens (and stopped trying to prevent it), I started experimenting more, taking more risks, and had way more fun than before.

    The crosshair placement on the ground bad habit is a thing I’ve noticed from new to mid skilled players who play battle royal games. They are still focused on being loot goblins and searching on the ground for gear that they are constantly crosshair down regardless of situation or game. Even some Apex pros still do this to date sadly. I cannot stress enough to friends when I see them do this just how bad a habit it is and how important breaking it will be to their success in Apex as well as any other shooters I’m playing at the time.

    I was playing pubg and in pubg u must find your guns, ammo, and body armor around the map. The loot being mostly on the floor I quickly noticed my aim being alot lower than before and my crosshair placement being at the floor and not up and ready for a fire fight. Its hard to kill someone before they kill you if you are shooting at feet and they are shooting at your head, neck, or body.

    I know headshots are important but when I consciously aim for them, I feel like I miss a lot more because the hit area is much smaller. So I always end up trying to shoot just below shoulders because there's less margin for error. I used to be very good at FPS games but now I'm in my mid twenties and feel like I can't keep up with kids these days. 😔 Please help

    no, people dont put too much on aim, if you cant aim, nothing else matters. Not sure what you can do when you are playing a game like fortnite, that clearly wasnt designed as a fps, where aim is basically useless as half my hits dont hit anyway
