Saranda and Ksamil are warmer than the more northly situated cities and they are cheaper in May, June, September and October. These four months are actually perfect for us Canadians as it is not as hot and definitely not crowded but perfect for beach time (the hotels, AIRBNB, sunbeds and umbrellas are much cheaper too). August is the hottest and most crowded month. That's when all the Albanians that have emigrated to Italy (>500K) come back home for vacation and for meeting their relatives. Some of those AIRBNB that are rented throughout the year all over Albania actually belong to these emigrants and that is one of the reasons that August is the most expensive month for ARBNB, there is less units available.
The best thing about Albania is that they allow Americans to stay for one year on just a passport. You do have to leave for 3 months then the year resets again. A good home base for people who want to do Shengen shuffle.
Yes , thank-you. I did compare, but could not secure anything for a 28 day stay so I went with Airbnb, probably won't in the future. Thanks for watching, cheers Chris and Jim🙃😊
