Tip for later runs, or other players... Gigs aren't bad, especially "day 1" or if you're broke or in trouble. (How-To below) (like the guy who lost his pressure suit, etc.) If you get get to K-Leg, you can make a new start without losing your save. There is (In Current build at least) ALWAYS at least 1 Courier gig for running a "something" from K-leg to another part of K-leg (Port, Old district, or Commercial). How to do this for best payout. 1 - see where the Gig runs from/to. AKA Pickup Port, dropoff commercial? Go to the Gig Kiosk (green bar on floor) in Port. * Don't take the Gig until you are where it starts. 2 - Take the gig (auto-pause in Kiosk, so you will be paused). Leave the Kiosk and re-pause the game (you have "45 seconds game time" for best payout, so you will pause often doing this) 3 - Open the lockers (option on Kiosk only when you have a Gig). Pause on open, take item to your inventory. Then select to transfer to Transit at the transit on the floor. (you'll walk over to the transit, Old district is close, Port is a bit further, Commercial is a hike. Port/Commercial are the ones where I sometimes run slow and miss a larger payout) 4 - Transit pauses So you can select Commercial; pause on arrival. 5 - Open lockers at Gig Kiosk in Commercial, and it will unpause to walk you over and do that... pause as they open, put whatever the Gig item was in the locker. (now you are "done" but a Gig is not marked as done automatically, you have to tell it) 6 - Open the gig Kiosk (right click kiosk and keyboard 1 cancel action, 2 use keyboard works), select "My Gigs" and then "Turn In". Speed (game time) determines pay. It's like a 45 second for best. Platinum pays 1,000-2,000 net (there is a fee for taking the Gig, that is not paid up front, but taken from payout or if you cancel/fail the Gig entirely) Gold pays about half of Platinum (but gives you another 45 seconds or so). Bronze pays half that (and gives you quite a bit more time; but minimal pay). Under Bronze is almost not paid. Pausing is key, and it's not "much" money. But it's some. Better than you need honestly. Also after you complete a Gig, there will be a new Gig on the list. So you can't do all the work listed. And when I say there is ALWAYS one Courier Gig within K-Leg? Completing the last/only "inside K-Leg Courier" Gig will create a new one. So you can do this again. Forever. Doing this once to get a drill and maybe the cutter? Good plan. Doing this 2-3 times to get a license and avoid police issues? Not a terrible idea. Doing this 40 times to get an EVA suit, Weber drill, License, etc? Boring as heck, but possible. Cost? Well, it takes (game time) about 1-2 minutes per run, paying 1-2K per run. You can make your rent without ANY issue. But it gets boring quickly. So I wouldn't overdo it. But I do use it to get started. Other gigs can be terrible, or impossible at start. Courier to another station (several astronomical Units away) isn't feasible without a Fusion drive. Courier even to another nearby ship is probably not workable. Docking to a ship that isn't stationary is disastrous; do NOT expect to be able to do that. Investigate Death CAN be profitable; especially if you've already seen the ship (so you know where to go). If you haven't seen the ship pay VERY close attention to the distance (it is the precise distance from K-Leg when you undock, so you can guess which ships it "might be"). Watch the timer, but you can get 20-30K for one of those if you're lucky and there is a Gig like that available.
@@Rhadamant No worries, it is very useful to know early on; and nothing in the game calls it out. If I hadn't seen a streamer do it several weeks ago, I still wouldn't know the Gig Kiosk was ever worthwhile.
Gotta love that luck; the first ship you try has a dying LEO on it and then the 2nd has a pirate. Looks like the 3rd ship was the charm. As far as that D20 tank, I don't know if it's in the game but could it be that they're just using that tank to transport that material in order to sell it somewhere else instead of using a fusion reactor themselves? Idk, maybe you find the reactor room in the next episode.
Created a new email to match my Twitch and Discord usernames so it gets less confusing. I know it's not relevant to the game. It's just to fill the comment and boost the video. See you!
Two EVA suits, their batteries, a charger, a dolly, and a big rucksack on the first derelict you stay at? Game sure is paying back your luck for the officer and pirate on the first two. Took me about 40 hours to find my first EVA suit charger, and I didn't find a dolly until the first derelict after I bought one. To be fair, my first derelict had about 5 parts of a reactor, so I wasn't hurting too bad.
i never really saw the point in stealing from the derelicts. well maybe like once when you start, just for some quick cash, but like 2 to 4 courier missions is enough to get a license and when the license is over you sell it back for 4500$. one good trip out and it's payed for itself.
Is the world a living world, like Kenshi? Like, is that ship with the dying officer on it natural as a result of an NPC doing its thing, or is it randomly genned?
I think I have the same Boxsled as you do. How do I restore the ship so that I don't have to wear the helmet all the time? I really don't want to repair all the floor tiles and conduit if it is not really needed.

That first big ship being named the brevity but then shortened is pretty funny
Yeah that is pretty hilarious
I love this game so far it looks like a lot of wiki work to understand what to get and ehat not to but it looks amazingly immersive
There are in game manuals that do a surprisingly good job of getting you up to speed if you take the time to read them
Pretty cool stuff! I thought I wasn't interested at first but man it really made a comeback!
Its quite a lot of fun when you give it a chance
Watched these all out of order😂. Really enjoyed it.
Oh no! The playlist is in order AFAIK

The game does have a commodities trading mechanic but heavy water isn't something that is traded like that
Ok this game is very intense!
Sure is!

No kidding. Two duds and then a stud
Thanks for all the amazing content!
My pleasure!

Indeed, licenses aren't too pricy.

A bit of both
For the Nav computer, could your drag it back to your ship and then repair it?
Yes I could
Looking forward for more
Awesome so much more coming!
Watching💕⛄merry christmas
Happy holidays!

You got to add walls to the 'airlock' area
I find it funny how your ship basically killed you in like 12 steps into it lol
Haha yes. I LOVE that the game gave me such deadly trash
This game is far to complicated for my tiny brain, but I'm liking the videos lol
I do what I can to simplify it =]
Yeah theft is profitable. There are parts of OKLG that have good loot. And if you don’t get caught you can do well.
Yup I mention that as well within this stream
Yay!
Cheerio!
👍
👍
How is everything that is in the airlock not being sucked out into space with no walls
Magic
😁👍
👍
You get tired using the crowbar
Yup, but more the act of prying stuff open
Didn't think the game would have this much depth. Thats good. I hope they improve the graphics but keep the current feel.
Honestly I'm all for the graphics, I love the aesthetic
What would you change/improve?
@@trojaner96 The floor and all stuff on it are much more blocky then the rest. Give that a pollich as to be on par with the GUI.
I got 15-20k from courier gigs
Cool
I sold a 75% full D20 tank for 45k
Nice!
