The revolution cleaner and rejuvenator should be used only when the rubber starts to wear out and only once in a while, because when used on new rubbers it decreases the lifespan. The Butterfly cleaner and other cleaner should be used after you played, but not before because it has some slight chemicals that creates tension in the sponge (not as much as the revo.3 cleaner). Hand washing soap is pretty safe to remove the residues from your sweat, just add a little to water and clean our rubber with a soft sponge. This is the best method while the rubber is new. After it's worn, you can use the cleaners. if you feel your sponge is dead you can try to reglue it, because the glue can get less flexible after a few month.
Based on your specific advice, I have been using Hurricane 3 rubber for 8 months now. So for CERTAIN. Even after 5 minutes, you will see the dust start collecting on the surface, even thought it still spins great. But you can see the coating. These rubbers pick up every spec of dust from the ball on the floor, etc. I clean using breath and hand during matches. I use regular cleaning with Butterfly spray after playing every time and it really maintains the rubbers qualities. What I mean is I clean with spray cleaner after EVERY time I play. My Hurricane III still gets scuffed up and worn quite a bit, but the tackiness and spin is maintained very well. It's not a beauty contest. It's a spin and grip contest. :-)
Exactly, after 5 minutes is covered in dust, especially when playing outdoors...after cleaning with just water, my there are still balltracks and fingerprints on the rubber and it is actually way less sticky than before. Use mild soap you say?
@@danosdotnl I mainly use just my breath and wipe off with my hands. I love the rubber and it maintains it's action and spin, but it does pick up dust fast.
I use a fresh piece of cotton soaked in warm water and then squeezed. After rubbing and drying, I wrap the blade with a fresh piece of food wrap. Fresh cotton and fresh wrap mean that there is no accumulation of dirt like in your case with the sponge and the rubber protector that are used continuously. My method has proven to me that it can preserve the stickiness really well.

Sorry for the rookie question (I have never been to any tournaments in my life), what are they doing in the video? They seem to be measuring the rubber thickness from the wooden blade, but then why is he putting his bat into the paper bag? Did it not pass, and he is not allowed to use it now?
they bag it so the player can't change the racket to the one that's not been inspected and is potentially illegal to play with. then they return it at the start of the match. but that's only in high level professional tournaments. on lower levels the racket is very rarely even inspected, let alone being bagged like that
Last time i bought a hurricane 3 neo wich wasnt sticky. Its like a normal grippy rubber. Could it be a fake? Or did i had bad luck this time? It was the cheap normal version with orange sponge

I use xiom i-clean water based cleaner. Forehand: Yasaka Rakza Z, backhand: Yasaka Mark V. Anyone else have experience with this?
