This is the toughest musical gut punch I've ever taken in my 62 years. This guy gave everything to his fans. His legendary voice and songs will live on forever. There will never be another pair of Brothers like Duane and Greg. But Greg, I will miss most of all. R.I.P. man, R.I.P.
My first concert ABB and Marshall Tucker so grateful that I experienced it luv you Gregg Toy Duane Charlie Ronnie you inspired me to start playing guitar at 57 long live southern rock!!
Our days of running wild is slowly coming to a end and it's so sad. I pray that I and all that I love will live forever in heaven. Until then, I still miss Gregg and Duane Allman.
I can't think of any other musician I miss more than Gregg Allman. That voice, his keyboard skills, his songwriting, and when he lights up that Leslie, it's all just absolutely incredible!
This is my favorite Gregg Allman song. His voice sounds hoarse and sexy. For real, this is at the top of my playlist. They just don't make 'em like this this anymore. Great backup band, too.
The absolute and undisputed voice of Southern rock. He created magic with The Allman Brothers, and went even further with his solo career. Gregg Allman is forever and always an Angel.
There's a lot of bands and people from my youth that I mourn and miss everyday. Out of all of them Greg Allman is at the top of that mountain. His voice, his songs, his willingness to leave it all on the stage floor will never be matched. His demons couldn't stop him. Thank you Greg for all the years of the greatest music to be written and performed. May you rest easy in eternal peace. You've earned it. Love & Peace.
At 17 yrs old my 1st concert, 1974 Rosevelt Stadium Jersey City, NJ. Allman Brothers. Hard to believe 50yrs have passed since what seems like yesterday. I remember how my mom used use that term and I never understood it. Man time flies.
No musician can ever compare to Gregg Allman. He was unique, creative, soulful, and a such a passionate musician. I will forever grieve his death as many fans will until my last day on earth. His music will tug on my heart and soul until I'm laid to rest.
I saw the Greg Allman Band back in 2014 in Napa, Calif. What a great show!! He was an ultimate blues/southern rock entertainer for so many years. True God given talent!. Sure miss him.
Greg's soulful voice is now silent for us forever, he won't write another song for us, he won't jam on his Hammond B3 anymore............RIP GREG ALLMAN...we love you.
@Susan B I love that you said this. I ALSO have watched many times, AND will forever, everything about him exudes confidence and love 💗 for his audience, but his voice and words just get me shaking. He reaches in my soul and drives me crazy with his voice and lyrics, they'll be noone to replace that, noone sings like him or ever will, that soulful sound is his ALONE. R.I.P. Greg, hope Your jammin with your brother and all your friends!
He was the absolute BEST!! I listened to him during good times and bad. He was the epitome of southern rock. RIP Gregg I hope to see you on the other side someday.
I saw Gregg & the Allmans three times. Of all the bands I've ever seen, the Allmans were second only to Earth, Wind & Fire for tightness and listening to each other during the extended solos. So many bands think jam songs are excuses to go on autopilot. The Allmans always listened to the soloist, and never stepped on him. What a gift!
YES!! Gregg and Duane were unique and revolutionary in the world of music. No one had played music like this before! I grew up in the south and saw them play a bunch of times before they became really famous. The were AMAZING--live performances had so much more energy/personality than studio recordings. RIP Allmans.
Those musicians have just enough control to be play collectively and individually without being overpowering. Beautiful song, beautiful voice, beautiful man.
What a pleasure to have The Allman Bros to call Macon home. So much music history in this town!!! Gregg lived through so much; death of his father; brother and a band member and losing his precious Mother but when he hit the stage he gave us all he had!!!! What a blessing!
Never saw Gregg solo but have been to about 10 ABB shows at the Beacon and 1 at Jones Beach. I felt since i was about 17 yrs old that Gregg's songs worked as a soundtrack to my life. I hear a song now at 48 yrs old and one will remind me of some girl i dated or some moment in my life or another will remind me of when i was on the road traveling. It just don't get better than that. Or more surreal.
Never been a better Brother than Gregg Allman…Suffered a tremendous loss and put it all back together because that’s just what you do…retooled and re-engineered the moving parts and the band and sound became even more well known. Saying 🎶there is a long hard road that follows far behind me🎶 sums up in one verse what the Legend of Gregg Allman is all about! Long live the ABB THE ROAD GOES ON FOREVER🍄
I have two cousins named Marshall and tucker I know theses names/the band are not related to the late Greg Allman but thought it was a fitting reply to this comment none the less
Wow my 1st was Melissa my 2nd was supposed to be Jessica, when I woke up from a C-section I was informed that my husband and mother changed her name to Megan!
I’ve loved Gregg my whole life since I was 16, when I got pregnant with my son, we couldn’t agree on a name so I said it’s going to be Greg after my love Gregg Allman. I tell everybody I named him for my first love.
Without a single doubt.. thee very best soul and blues singer of our time!!!!!!!! Gregg you have made me laugh and you have certainly made me cry!!!!!! But I never cried as hard as the day you left us!!!!! I will always remember where I was and who I was with when that terrible news rang thru my ears!!!! I have been an Allman Brothers fan for as long as my memory goes back!!!!! Love and miss you always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! R. I. P. You are with your brother who you have missed for so long!!!! Sure would like to hear that rock and roll heaven someday!!!!!. It's got to be so much more than amazing!!!!!!!!! There are so many of you there, but none more missed than you!!!!!!!!!💕🤞🎸🎶
I loved the Allman Brothers on record & in concert. The same holds true for Gregg Allman's solo career. The music just engulfs your entire being. Peace!

When Gregg Allman comes on the radio suddenly I don't give a shit that you cut me off 3 miles ago. Just enjoy that highway
This is the toughest musical gut punch I've ever taken in my 62 years. This guy gave everything to his fans. His legendary voice and songs will live on forever. There will never be another pair of Brothers like Duane and Greg. But Greg, I will miss most of all. R.I.P. man, R.I.P.
well stated... this 62-year-old completely agrees ...

Hes great❤
Was, past tense, he passed May 27, 2017...
Guaranteed, Gregg was no Angel, but damn, he was one of the best men to walk the world and sing his soul out!
So true, some can sing the song, but they don't have the mournful sound their voice. You can sing the song but only Gregg has felt it.
@@kevinburk7861They say you have to live the blues to sing 'em, and I'd say Gregg proved it!
Now you are an angel 😇💖
I can't think of any other musician I miss more than Gregg Allman. That voice, his keyboard skills, his songwriting, and when he lights up that Leslie, it's all just absolutely incredible!
😢
This is true Greg no one can touch this man , the BEST
This is my favorite Gregg Allman song. His voice sounds hoarse and sexy. For real, this is at the top of my playlist. They just don't make 'em like this this anymore. Great backup band, too.
Gregg had a ton of effortless charisma. Lovely song.
♥️
I'm 62 yes young. I remember also great music, crossroads.
God Bless and RIP Gregg Allman. I still listen to your music every day!
The absolute and undisputed voice of Southern rock. He created magic with The Allman Brothers, and went even further with his solo career. Gregg Allman is forever and always an Angel.
Ronnie Van Zant's voice will echoe 4 ever.
"He created magic with The Allman Brothers"?? That's kinda ignorant!
There's a lot of bands and people from my youth that I mourn and miss everyday. Out of all of them Greg Allman is at the top of that mountain. Very nicely said, I miss him most too out of all. I loved The Allman Brothers but Gregg was my heart. So many memories of those days.
Amazing comment. Musician from a small town called Welcome, North Carolina, Sean Whitman

This music rings true with most men of the time, and thier women ❤
Never gets old. Man was a musical genius

Another great band that has not been inducted into the hall of fame. How sad is that!
He had the heart & soul of a blues singer.
I saw the Greg Allman Band back in 2014 in Napa, Calif. What a great show!! He was an ultimate blues/southern rock entertainer for so many years. True God given talent!. Sure miss him.
My husband and I loved this song ! Played it at our wedding. RIP Dear Husband & Gregg.

He was the angel.
he seemed so sad and tortured, but created such healing music, may he RIP
Wow his voice is still stellar
"still"...??? He passed May 27, 2017...
I listen to his songs now with a sadness. I miss him and really wish he would still be on this earth.
Gregg Allman's singing was like Duane Allman's guitar playing. Incredibly soulful, perfectly phrased, and impeccably tasteful!
What a voice!!!!! And easy to look at too all thru the years!!!! LOL
Agreed!!!! Lol
Same here.
Still rocking my world. RIP Greg

The Allman Brothers are second to none!

So sad I was too late in wanting /loving their great music in person
Loved me some Greg Allman forever
Damn, let's give the guitarist some love as well, that solo was amazing!
Looks very much like the new guitarist & lead singer for Little Feat. Jack Broadbent I think. Is this him?
@@sarafoehner8637 Scott Sharrard
The allman brothers had the best AX SLINGERS !

What a great sequel to the original version! The horns and more R&B oriented band is such a perfect compliment to Gregg's superb vocals.

He was a badass.
The Allman Bro's very well could be the best live performing band of all time. The Brother's get my vote, the music is timeless grassroots.
You are an angel now, Gregg...Rest in peace...your voice lives on forever in our hearts.
If I had diamonds, you wouldn't have to steal them, I would offer them to you, you beautiful man!❤
You can tell the Band is having a great time on Stage. Love those Horn's. Greg always wanted Horn players, and he got them.
