Excellent season finale Mark having doubts but embracing the fact that being a hero means sacrifice I hope Nolan returns to earth and make right with Mark and Debbie in season 3
Really hope Mark and Eve end up together. There was so much great character development and the action was insane. I enjoyed it so much that I'm thinking about picking up the comics just so I can get more lol
I was honestly expecting Nolan and Allen to break out this episode and make it back to Earth bruised up. With the ending scene being Nolan floating in front of Mark, Debbie, and Oliver. We need longer episodes or 10 episodes a season. I can’t be waiting like this 😂
Well his thraxan wife is now an old woman and will definitely be dead by the time he escapes from prison and he never actually felt anything negative towards debbie, he always loved her, he just pushed everyone away
great analysis and few spoilers too. really nice. you changed how i saw the episode. i personally didn't like it. i wanted to see more alternate universes. feels it was hyped so much to then be instantly solved. i rather have something mark face another mark then see spider-men or batmen. and the reality jumper was such a cool consent to kill off. i guess it had a lot of height. mark killed a villain he created. a good person confused. became what he didn't wanted to be. idk i feel the emotional stuff needs to be a bit more developed. more hugs and crying. feels they hardly talk or when they do its about stuff that doesn't matter as much, like the collage or girlfriend. it only got real when she faced death. She did do much better this season at least. she felt more human towards mark
Where did this Eve and Mark romance come from?? That's my biggest issue with this episode, they were great friends, but Mark (especially since he had a girlfriend) didn't show any kind of "romantic" affection with Eve and Eve as well didn't, plus he just broke up... Imo it felt forced and they kinda messed up the pace. Also, I think that Angstrom getting the little show time he got really affected his character development, to a point that I felt no emotional connection to his motives and character. It was too quick. I think that Nolan and Allen should've broken out of prison already as well, would've made for a better ending. It was not bad, but also not great. Especially since we got an amazing season 1 pacing overall and finale, this one felt underwhelming.
eve had been interested since day 1.....and they had some awkward moments in s2 eps 5 and 6 plus mark was kinda sad when he found out she was dating rex in s1 ep2 so it didnt seem forced at all to me but i agree there should have been more focus on mark and eve, but they really wanted us to like amber in the relationship lol ep6 should have been about exploring mark and eve but they just shoved more amber down our throats which is personally the only thing i didnt like in s2.....amber shoulda been gone long ago
They teased when Mark wants to talk about Eve's true feeling and Mark just shuts down and said "nothing" Nolan is becoming human ! "I miss my wife" Kate secretly had another clone saved up and for some reason she spawned exactly in a cabin where Immortal is at. They surely be banging after the sentimental reunion 😂
No Levie, who had been killed by alternate Mark, could be inside this Levie. All those Levies were killed by Levie. All of them died again when Mark committed his first murder.
No it showrunners did say the wait between the seasons shouldn’t be too long, compared to the time between season 1 and 2. I’m thinking a year to a year and a half HOPEFULLY
Yeah I know that this Finale wasn’t gonna give us “Think Mark” levels of crazy but it’s still a great finale. Mostly excited for Nolan and Allen prison escape in Season 3.
I'm also... this didn't hit like a finale 🤷🏿 so many loose ends, I understand it's supposed to be cliff hangers but this felt more like an episode filler😒
guess the cliffhangers are cool but now it sucks waiting especially with all the loose ends going on. Feels like it was almost the same concept as episode 4
@@soapybread bruh 😂😂😂it does... In my opinion. This could've been episode 5 or 6. The main villain really ain't even do shit fr, thru Invincible thru a couple of dimensions 🤷🏿♂️then gets an absolute plumbing... They could've showed Nolan and Allen busting outta the Virltrimite prison ship. Like c'mon with the action. Instead he thinks he misses his wife? Then roll credits.... Season 3 probably gone be 3 yrs for now at this rate
Question tho: are we assuming the time travel in Invincible is meant to be like set in stone, or that meddling in the past will change the future. Remember those guardians are from a future where Mark wasn’t there, so would him being there change those characters/the team that saved him?
Waited 20 years for him when they aren't even togheter and eve couldn't even wait 5 years when they are togheter and even have a child she has everething and still cheats on him hope they change it in the show
Gawd the marketing sucks, no wonder no one watches tge show anymore. Great Ep but I thought there was more, then I find out it did end last week. Damn this show.
When I finished watching it I felt extremely disappointed. The beginning of the episode with Omniman was the best part of it that scene goes really hard. The rest of the episode was executed pretty badly. Most of the dialogue felt mechanic and unnatural like when the future guardians find Mark that scene had awful dialogue imo. The animation... oh my God... the animation was not good. I was turning my head away from the screen at some moments. Omniman fighting those robots and the spider-man scene were the only well animated scenes. More inconsistencies with Mark's powers. We're shown multiple times that he has super speed, he enters the house using super speed and never uses it against Angstrom although he had multiple chances to get to him and subdue him. Just break his arms and legs and he's helpless Mark is strong enough to do that. Also the pacing of that scene should've been a little faster as if felt a little dragging as Mark was going through the other universes. And the tone should've been more consistent like showing Mark confused about those places but ALSO super anxious, tense, worried about his mother and brother. Like with the scenes with spiderman and batman, through the dialogue it doesn't feel like Mark is even a little worried about getting back to save his family and that bugs me because it messes with the tension. It's like the writers forget about the danger his family is in and go like "take a look at all these references, we got spiderman and doc ock, batman, the walking dead?! Fortnite?! Isn't that cool?! Oh yeah Mark's family is in danger go see that now." A little nitpick here about him ANGRILY throwing the knife on a house and it just doesn't fly off to the next continent or it doesn't create a shockwave that destroys a part of the house. Anything implying that Mark has super strengh and is losing control. The soundtrack was quite ineffective most of the time. They could've done a better job with it. Some scenes didn't need to be there to waste our time like the guy jogging at the beginning completely ruins the tension they set up on the previous episode cliffhanger. That's my opinion though. If they wanted the title card just let Angstrom say it without having to kill the tension of the scene. The tomb scene was very unnecessary. And the monster girl with rex one could have been moved to season 3 or been made shorter. Delete those to spend more time showing Immortal's mental suffering through his day to day life so the scene with Kate returning feels more impactful because I didn't feel anything in that scene. I was like oh she's alive nice okay cool. Overall this is unfortunately one of the worst episodes of season 2 for me and it saddens me when I compare it to season 1 finale. This could've been the best episode of the season but episode 1 will keep that tittle with episode 7 being the second best because of Anissa. I REALLY hope they improve the animation for season 3 because of Invincible War and the fight with Conquest. Those NEED to have anime level animation. The whole of season 3 is literally The Shibuya Incident. Amazon should wake up and start hiring Jujutsu Kaisen animators asap lol
I disagree, you were probably just hoping for another epic battle to end the season but we really didn’t need that. This sets up so much and it was a more character driven episode instead of flashy. I’m happy with it and hope it’s not too long of a wait for season 3
@@moneygrabber6720 Character driven episode? You mean the shitty speech that Cecil gave to Mark? The random Rudy and Monster Girl subplot being placed in the middle of the episode? Kate being alive to fulfill the, let's be honest, Immortal's character arc that nobody cares about? Also Mark widely and just debating with himself is not good character writing. That's lazy. They can be much more subtle with how they show what a character is experiencing. Is he expressing anger? Is he having quick changes in emotion that can be read through his character's expressions? Nope. Let's just have him talk to himself for 4 minutes and babysit the viewers into thinking exactly what they want.
Seems that their not our marks friends from the future. Their from a different timeline entirely. So robot prolly died in their timeline with rex taking up his mantle.
I did not like the episode at all they added so much characters and they didint focous on Nolan at all this season. Now i have to wait over a year for another episode smh🤦♂️
The finale gave me mixed feelings. On the one hand, this is a very powerful finale and series in general, but unlike the first season, where everything was very well invested, season 2 feels unfinished, and that there will be another 9 episode. And not because Mark and Eva are not together (it is really too early for that, and Mark needs to fall in love with Eva after a purely friendly relationships), and not even because some plot arcs remained abandoned, although they should have a logical ending in order to in the next season, it is logical to push forward: Nolan and Allen are in prison and will get out of it in the best case in the mid-final of season 3, what happened to the astronaut who returned to Earth, the writers generally don't give a shit about Boxers after the 4th episode. It's all because Mark is not developing at all. The whole season he tries to prove to himself and others that he is not like his father, but it seems as if the series itself says "No. He is the same killer." We are shown this literally frame by frame when he kills Levi - compare this scene with the scene when Nolan beats Mark, they are almost identical frame by frame. I understand that in the comics, Mark will accept that he will have to kill later, but the comic and the series are perceived in completely different ways, and if in comic you know from this that the issue will continue, in series you will have to spend a whole year here (please, no 2 years again). take it as it is. How should it have ended? In my opinion, Mark accepts the murder of Levy, and although he may still be uncomfortable with this act, but he will swear that he will never allow anyone hurt his family again, even if he has to be killed for it. But in the series: "I'm not like my dad - I don't kill anyone - I won't let anyone hurt my family" and maybe it seems to be everything, but then Mark says "I did a terrible thing, I killed a person... A person who almost kill my brother and mother, and wouldn't have stopped. Because of this, you and Mark remain at odds in this act, and Mark himself does not develop or become better. I mean, it's like that, but it's just crossed out. Guys, it's complete bullshit. And that's why episode 8 doesn't feel like a finale. More feels like season 2 will continue.
I feel like it's really hard to relate to Mark because of stuff like this... like bro, you're the most powerful person on earth and (potentially) have the power to destroy whole planets with your BARE HANDS and you're having a mental breakdown over killing a dude who was clearly on the wrong trying to KILL your family? Grow up. I think it's very childish from him being who he is and thinking he's not gonna get his hands bloody fighting all kinds of cosmic threats. The moment he chose to be a "hero", he also should've known the immense responsibilities he's carrying. But then, I think he's like 17 or 18 right now on the show right? So it may be because of that.
I loved the episode but any man will take a life thats trying to take his or his familys thats just biology and this season really made me view mark like a crybaby
I don’t know if he was actually in that dimension for 20 years because Langstrom can only make portals to other dimensions, not other timelines. I am confused by how the guardians were able to use a time machine to send him back home. Wouldn’t that only send him to the past of that dimension, not his original dimension?
This episode was slow and for a season finally wasnt great i get the character development but it dragged a lot doesnt leave me excited for season 3 if i didnt know what is coming
This didn’t even feel like a finale. This show supposed to be action not talking. They literally took all this time just to show us scenes with them talking. How long does it take to animate speaking??? I hate the people who make this show just follow the comics

I can’t be waiting like this 😂
That would have been an awesome ending to be fair!
The Audacity of Nolan to talk about Debbie is unbelievable. And what about his thraxan (prob belated) second wife? Already forgot that pet!!
I did think that at first to be fair!
Well his thraxan wife is now an old woman and will definitely be dead by the time he escapes from prison and he never actually felt anything negative towards debbie, he always loved her, he just pushed everyone away
@@soapybread She died shortly after they left the planet, old is an understatement.
great analysis and few spoilers too. really nice. you changed how i saw the episode. i personally didn't like it. i wanted to see more alternate universes. feels it was hyped so much to then be instantly solved. i rather have something mark face another mark then see spider-men or batmen. and the reality jumper was such a cool consent to kill off. i guess it had a lot of height. mark killed a villain he created. a good person confused. became what he didn't wanted to be. idk i feel the emotional stuff needs to be a bit more developed. more hugs and crying. feels they hardly talk or when they do its about stuff that doesn't matter as much, like the collage or girlfriend. it only got real when she faced death. She did do much better this season at least. she felt more human towards mark
Is that the finale? Bro i thought we were gonna see atleast like 2 more Episodes man. Damn were gonna wait for so long now
Where did this Eve and Mark romance come from?? That's my biggest issue with this episode, they were great friends, but Mark (especially since he had a girlfriend) didn't show any kind of "romantic" affection with Eve and Eve as well didn't, plus he just broke up... Imo it felt forced and they kinda messed up the pace. Also, I think that Angstrom getting the little show time he got really affected his character development, to a point that I felt no emotional connection to his motives and character. It was too quick. I think that Nolan and Allen should've broken out of prison already as well, would've made for a better ending. It was not bad, but also not great. Especially since we got an amazing season 1 pacing overall and finale, this one felt underwhelming.
eve had been interested since day 1.....and they had some awkward moments in s2 eps 5 and 6
plus mark was kinda sad when he found out she was dating rex in s1 ep2 so it didnt seem forced at all to me
but i agree there should have been more focus on mark and eve, but they really wanted us to like amber in the relationship lol
ep6 should have been about exploring mark and eve but they just shoved more amber down our throats which is personally the only thing i didnt like in s2.....amber shoulda been gone long ago
They teased when Mark wants to talk about Eve's true feeling and Mark just shuts down and said "nothing"
Nolan is becoming human ! "I miss my wife"
Kate secretly had another clone saved up and for some reason she spawned exactly in a cabin where Immortal is at. They surely be banging after the sentimental reunion 😂
Rex was there he was in the robot suit
that was robot?
@@kylerchapman2972 no it wasn’t because Eve called him Rex
@@kaiyoung5458you’ll soon understand
@@HornyHamsterexplain please lol
No Levie, who had been killed by alternate Mark, could be inside this Levie. All those Levies were killed by Levie. All of them died again when Mark committed his first murder.
I loved how eventually Mark really did kill Armstrong in every universe 😅 can't escape fate !
Any idea when season 3 is coming?
No it showrunners did say the wait between the seasons shouldn’t be too long, compared to the time between season 1 and 2. I’m thinking a year to a year and a half HOPEFULLY
Loved it
30 years for the next season
1 year
5:40 I remember Eve calling saying “Rex” so technically he’s still around. Cuz didn’t robot use his DNA to create that kid version?
I honestly thought this was the middle of the season. Didn't feel like an end
Rex was the one in the robot suit because Eve called him Rex
SPOILERS: No
Yeah I know that this Finale wasn’t gonna give us “Think Mark” levels of crazy but it’s still a great finale.
Mostly excited for Nolan and Allen prison escape in Season 3.
“Think Mark”*
I'm also... this didn't hit like a finale 🤷🏿 so many loose ends, I understand it's supposed to be cliff hangers but this felt more like an episode filler😒
guess the cliffhangers are cool but now it sucks waiting especially with all the loose ends going on. Feels like it was almost the same concept as episode 4
It absolutely did not feel like filler. It just didn't feel like a finale
Ah yes the first real main villain actually does something huge but it felt like just a "filler episode"
Remember those guardians are from a future where Mark wasn’t there, so would him being there change those characters/the team that saved him?
it is never really touched again in the comics. we never see the consequences of time travel, even though we see some time travelling adventures
100th Like🎉🎉🎉
I found the whole season extremely impressive and the finale was great but underwhelming
Waited 20 years for him when they aren't even togheter and eve couldn't even wait 5 years when they are togheter and even have a child she has everething and still cheats on him hope they change it in the show
took them 4 years to make with a 10 month season break and the lackluster ending. good show
I hope it won't take anywhere near as long this time!
Season 2 absolutely did NOT fall off
I hope the flow and the wait for season 3 is not like season 2.
Honestly I'd rather wait another year for season 3 rather than them push it out and possibly trashing the show
Why does it look like the guys from south park animated angstrom? Like it reminds me of the old days when they didnt have walking fully down yet.
😂😂😂😂 you really compared invincible’s animation with freaking south park
are we changing the definition of murder now? The guy was trying to kill his family. Is self defense murder?
Gawd the marketing sucks, no wonder no one watches tge show anymore. Great Ep but I thought there was more, then I find out it did end last week. Damn this show.
This finale feels like average episode during season.
Agreed. Good episode as expected but as a finale? Yea this wasn’t it.
@@firstlast9846 Yall have way too high expectations. This was a great way to end season 2 and perfectly aligns with the comics
People are npcs bro, this is wild. This episode was MID at best. Not hating, I love the show, but it's the truth.
“I miss my wife tails, I miss her a lot. I’ll be back”
I was hoping for Invincible War this season.
Yeah I feel that's gonna need a season building in itself!
That was never happening lmao, way too early
better than season 1 imo really was a superhero show
Bold statement but fair! Both seasons were epic!
Couldnt turn the spoiler off😢
When I finished watching it I felt extremely disappointed.
Oh yeah Mark's family is in danger go see that now."
A little nitpick here about him ANGRILY throwing the knife on a house and it just doesn't fly off to the next continent or it doesn't create a shockwave that destroys a part of the house.
Wait, didn't Kate call Robot "Rex", indicating that it wasn't Rudy in the mech suit?
Yeah, I thought that too. Maybe Rudy saved Rex and to honor him, he decided to wear his armor.
I loved it especially the other marks it was creepy
Yeah they were a really cool feature!
@@BrainPilot yesss and the “Fortnite sniper” 😭😭
This season finale was unbelievably disappointing. The worst episode of the whole show in my opinion
Do you think? It's definitely proved to be divisive!
I disagree, you were probably just hoping for another epic battle to end the season but we really didn’t need that. This sets up so much and it was a more character driven episode instead of flashy. I’m happy with it and hope it’s not too long of a wait for season 3
@@moneygrabber6720
Character driven episode?
Eve called robot Rex I'm so confused
Seems that their not our marks friends from the future. Their from a different timeline entirely. So robot prolly died in their timeline with rex taking up his mantle.
@@TarnishedSaiyan02nah you have to read the comics. A lot happens between Rex and the robot we know
Robot cloned himself as a younger version of Rex and became Rudy, that’s why he was in the suit
@@SoldierSpiderx why does Eve call him Rex
@@danielrusiecki03 So was that Rex or Rudy from future and why does future Eve call him Rex
erm it hadn't been 20 years, they used a time machine, they're just from 20 years in the future
So them using a time machine on Mark only sends him to the past of that dimension. That means his original dimension is still without a Mark 😢
omni man my goat
He is goated
But wasn't that Rex in the Robot suit? She cals him "Rex".
just finding out it’s finale.. fuck that
Levi is crazy. Why not go after the other marks too.
I think he was just so confused
*For me the best episode from season 2 is episode 4*
Yeah episode 4 was incredible!
I did not like the episode at all they added so much characters and they didint focous on Nolan at all this season. Now i have to wait over a year for another episode smh🤦♂️
It was a shame about Nolan but we did get some real great developments with him and his personal journey!
Im sorry this episode sucked cheeks compared to season 1
Is everyone high? The season finale was so underwhelming and I still don't get why they turned the drama up to 11.
That’s just plain wrong. It sets up so much and if you can’t see that, that’s your problem
well guys...see you in a few years....fuck that was not worth it. None of it.
Do you not think? I thought it was quite a powerful finale. I think the mid season break might have hurt it slightly in terms of the rhythm
Not worth it? read the comics then? all of us comic fans are very happy with it, yall just have expectations way too high
need more allen da alien !
That will definitely be the case in Season 3!
Here, let me explain. It SUCKED. The end.
Just discovered this show....aaaaaaand the majority of comments and videos talking about it look toxic AF. Congrats to this channel and viewership🙌
What do you mean?
I loved the episode but any man will take a life thats trying to take his or his familys thats just biology and this season really made me view mark like a crybaby
he's 18
experiences like this are what eventually lead to him accepting the fact that he has to kill sometimes......
Waiting for mark to get the eveussy
levy not ded
True true, more to come!
Don’t spoil shit from the comics. I’ve read them too, but that doesn’t mean you need to spoil it for the people that don’t want to read them.
@@BrainPilot please delete his comment, we don’t need people ruining the show for them by giving them spoilers
So does this mean mark is like 40 now?
I don’t know if he was actually in that dimension for 20 years because Langstrom can only make portals to other dimensions, not other timelines. I am confused by how the guardians were able to use a time machine to send him back home. Wouldn’t that only send him to the past of that dimension, not his original dimension?
@@moneygrabber6720 maybe it's a planet where like each second there is a day over there
