Same thing happened to me. I’m on my 5th email with this company and their last offer was 50.00 and keep the items I ordered. I spent 127.00 total. I ordered from this company thru Facebook because they advertised that their clothing was made in South Carolina. When my items arrived a month later, the packaging they were in had a sticker saying made in China. I’m furious. The clothing is poor quality and falsely advertised as made in the US. I’m going to keep battling with them until I get a 100% refund….wish me luck.
thank you for sharing - I too was all set to order product from Valania but got suspicious when I couldn't find an address. So I then checked out this so-called company and there are 10 others with the same line of clothing and same price - Dauyo, Nhesi, Valanio, Dassica, Crigne, Capatee, Vardney, Onyoa Anryi Gelmi etc etc etc That looked very suspicious to me and also when checking a subscriber said "this is a scam" "do not buy" . After I saw your video I know I was right in not buying - when you can't find an address of a company there is something wrong - sooooooo thank you again
The dresses are…dresses. That part is true. But they’re made to fit virtually any body, so are wide and shapeless, very unflattering. I’ve had the same experience and either the fabric was cheap and nasty, or the design was something “I wouldn’t wear to a dogfight” (as my mother used to say). And the photos had been so seductive. Thank you Sandy! for laying this out so more women understand!
What an awful experience. I always google the company. I learned my lesson. I will order from the company on their website if I find out it is ok. I never order from a Facebook ad anymore.
Thank you for the information. I was just looking at their dresses. I've also had experience with crap from China. So I generally don't even look. This time it's a made in the US in the Add And that's why I was looking further. I may buy 1 align 1 and see if it's feasible if not I will just keep it in a pile. The worst examples I have found are the bras I bought 2 different ones different ones and couldn't wear neither. I am large busted so it's important to have support.
You are so adorable! I have been receiving the same ads on FB and Instagram. The merchandise is really good looking but as I read the verbiage on their site I could tell the grammar was not quite right. That's clue #1...that's when I decided to Google the company and came across your video. Thank you for helping your sisters out with the detailed info! I will report them to FB and Instagram, although I doubt they will care as its all about the ad money they receive from these bogus companies.
Thank you so much for this video! I was about to waste my money on a blouse for my class reunion. Just when I thought I was done ordering of Facebook after I ordered something and never received the item! The ad said made in SC and I always try to support American companies even if it means paying a little more. I actually searched the meaning of the name and came across your video. I have also been taken by items appearing to be well made and then disappointed in the tissue paper quality. Bless you ❤
I fell for the ads through Facebook and that they were based in South Carolina and a USA company. I’m now fighting to try and get my money back. They started with offering $20 then $30 then $50 and than $70. I spent $93.97 and told them I want full refund. I have disputed charges with PayPal and with my bank. I guess if the next offer is $80 I’ll accept and move on and learn from experience
I had the exact same thing happen through a different company that I saw on facebook. The dresses were so cute and age appropriate. I had to deal with the company in a similar way as you did, but because I had paid through Paypal, I contacted them and disputed the charges based on the quality. It ended up with having to accept their offer of $50 to end the claim. Horrible experience, and never again!
Hi Sandy - I was just getting ready to order a couple of their dresses for a bridal shower and the wedding. You are correct - they are lovely and perfect for what I needed. I'm so glad that say your video and thank you so much for the information.
I, too, have been seeing their advertisements and thought what cute dresses they had. I had an experience on Etsy that was very similar. I ordered a dress and something very different came. Because I did it thru Etsy, I got my full refund. I sent that dress back. I had to ARGUE with the company because I ordered it in a 3 X because I knew it was probably coming from China and I was ready to alter it. Oh my goodness not only it was not the dress, it didn't evern come in a 3 X. It came in a large, which my daughter was able to wear. Shaking my head, I now look at people who order from these companies, and they do these "hauls" and actually give feedback on what the experience was and how the clothing looks and fits. Love your channel. All the best. Oh, those dresses were not cut right either. They did not fit well to wear out. You'd have to get them altered to fit you the way you want them to fit. At least you'll have enough fabric for someone who sews well to work with 🙂
I too have had the same experience with Valanio!! Terrible clothing, quality is very poor, fit is even worse. Never again!! I sent an email and now they are offering a measly compensation. I said no, so they have doubled the amount and again have said no. Now waiting to get another email from them. I will never again, order from facebook ads - have done too many of them and they have all turned out to be scams.
I ordered a blouse from a similar company. So many of these are scam companies and, of course, the quality was so bad it wasn't even worth sending to a thrift store.
Thank you so much for this information! I was all set to order 5 shirts from this company but something inside me kept me from ordering. Now I know why.
I thought the dresses looked light and airy, perfect for Summer. I also wouldn't like the fit, but others may see the dresses as roomy and comfortable. We've all purchased many items throughout our lives labeled "Made in China"! On mailing returns, sometimes I pay shipping costs and sometimes not. Many companies have refunded me and told me to keep the items to avoid restocking fees. However, I've always been refunded or credited the full amount of my purchase.
I just received a dress that I ordered from Valanio. It fits terribly, the material is horrible and it looks nothing like dress that the model was wearing in the advertisement! While trying to navigate the Valanio website to figure out how to return the dress and get a refund, your TH-cam video popped up. Out of interest I watched it and was horrified to find out that I will probably not get a refund! I learned my lesson! Never again will I order anything off of facebook!
It's always good to take screenshots of sites making statements like returns accepted or guarantees... and statements about shipments esp when working w/a new company... I like to buy online with Paypal because when people have tried to rip me off they have been relatively good at helping me esp since I have a good reputation with them... The dresses aren't bad.. just not what you wanted... but you got a good price in the end and maybe can use them as gifts or something.
Sandy, I ordered from this company and yes the dresses are very flimsy and thin material but I kept them and wear them (2) dresses around the house on very warm days. Thank you for the information on this company, I 😅will never order from them again..
I had a similar experience with ascertainy a company that manufacturers silk ferns. The pictures on the website were beautiful lush looking ferns that filled an huge urn, the ones I received were scrawny small things about 10” high. That would fit in a glass. The same run around when I tried to return them for a refund. I went to my bank and lodged a complaint through Visa for false advertising. Still waiting the results of that! Again lesson learned
I, too, got taken. The fabric was cheap. The sizes were very, very small. I thought being advertised as being from N.C., I would okay. When I got my clothing, it had oriental writing all over the labels, etc. I knew I was in trouble. The fabric was cheap. The sizes were very, very small. It was like pulling teeth to get a partial refund and they didn't even want me to return the items. Unfortunately, I paid through PayPal so the money had already been sent. I, too, had to write three emails to get a partial refund. Lesson learned.
Sandy, I can't tell you how many times I've fallen for those ads. You can't even return them! I ordered what were advertised at Clarke's sandals from a shoe website that I had never heard of. The price was amazing, so I ordered 3 pair. When they arrived - over a month later- those sandals were awful. I swear they were made out of paper. I contacted the company by e-mail and was told that I could return them but I would have to pay $20 shipping . Then the email said I would be better of keeping them and giving them as gifts to friends!
@@tonifitzpatrick3511 I donated my 3 dresses to a charitable resale store. They only hung up one of them and, not surprisingly, is never sold even for $5.00.
Your experience with Valanio is the same as my most recent one. I ordered 4 dresses and a knit top. The top is fine...would have preferred a more cotton like fabric, but it fits fine and the colors are good. However, the dresses were poor quality fabric and the empire waste (I use that term VERY loosely) hit right at the bust. Not a good look. Have contacted them to return the items. Haven't heard back as yet, but sent the email to them yesterday.
I made the same error - but with a company that advertised on FB as Deuyo (I suspect they are the same company). The clothes I order looked beautiful online, but just as you, they were all 100 polyester and looked like cheap crap when they arrived. One of the main reasons I purchased from this company is that they state on FB that their clothes are made in South Carolina - I noticed that Valanio says the exact same thing. These clothes are made in China! Total scam. I had read the reviews and they were all glowing - which was really confusing! After I received them, I attempted to leave my own review on FB - but they had blocked me from doing so. Do NOT order from these companies! It is the same company operating under different names and there is NO customer service except via email and the people responding speak poor English and their responses are canned. For all of the blocking FB does - I fail to understand why they continue to allow these bogus companies to advertise - actually, I do understand - GREED - it's all about the $$!
I ordered from Amazon and got a Chinese item. Because it was only $15.00, I'm donating . If it were more I possibly would have tried but it wasn't worth it for $15. How long would it take to get a refund and shipping is high. I didnt think the dresses flattered you at all so not worth it. I dont order from Temu either.
I liked the one that looked like a maxi dress on you but it looked shorter on the model. I thought the empire waist was to high on the other 2 dresses. My daughter told me she sent an talked to a company about a return and they did not want her to ship it back . I think she said they only have so much room for returns in the warehouse. She got a full refund, I forgot the company.
Yes!!! Valanio is a total scam and total ripoff. My top size S is really between Medium and Large, and it is PLASTIC. They are offering me $20 to keep the top, which is fit for the trash. Huge waste of time and money.
I purchased a nice jacket, but too small. Response came from a different email than the service@ from Val Anio. Also bought two dresses. Awful. Quality poor. Makes a mature woman look like a balloon.
If you will never wear the dresses, try to send them back for a refund. Sorry you got scammed. I think I got scammed ordering some cute shoes on 2/8/24 which are not slated to be received until May sometime. $49 for orthopedic quality walking shoes turned my head. We'll see what I get. Not supposed to be from China....
Your you tube is not helping me. I HATE the clothes I ordered, and I am trying to return them. Quality was awful and lie about not coming from China makes me so angry. Allthe lies you mentioned are true, but you did not help me with returning these clothes.

I would write to Mark Zuckerberg…and suggest he cancel their contract with them..

I don't think these were made in USA even though that is what they said. The mailing envelope was in Chinese.

Sandy, you were scammed!!! They would not let me return this cheaply made dress. Then they sent me a smart alecky email. I'm so angry!!!!

They should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. Did you get your money back yet?
Just $50 then I gave up and decided to warn others.

I know exactly what you mean. Even my thrift store wouldn’t hang them up.
You saved me the headache, they claim South Carolina & California as their 2 U.S manufacturing lol
Thank you for sharing your experience. It will definitely help me.
Thank you so much for this information! I was all set to order 5 shirts from this company but something inside me kept me from ordering. Now I know why.
Glad I could help!

They were not of good quality and were given to Good Will.
Oh dear, scammed or not, the fit of those dresses ages you. You present much more youthful than they do!
Agree!
Been there done that! I learned my lesson ordering off Facebook!
Me too!
Sandy, I ordered from this company and yes the dresses are very flimsy and thin material but I kept them and wear them (2) dresses around the house on very warm days. Thank you for the information on this company, I 😅will never order from them again..
I would have kept them for around the house, but the polyester was too warm for me

Good luck. Please let us know if you succeed.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I was suspicious when the Facebook ad on my feed stated Made in SC, US. (guess where I live)
Glad I saved you from buying from them. Beware. They operate under various other names.
Very helpful review. Thank you so much. Saved me the time and frustration.
You are very welcome!
I actually had good luck with their clothes (mostly tops) but will see what happens when I try to return one.
I have to say that my 2 dresses were adorable. No complaint

Oh my word. Going through exact situation now. Sounds like my experiences ordering clothes online. 😊😮
So sorry you were scammed too!
It’s a Chinese company. They do fake advertising on Facebook saying it’s made in South Carolina and it is not.
Yes.
The third one looked very nice on you but needed some shortening. The first two did not flatter you.
For sure!
