That master is certainly not a fake. Tai Sabaki is well known in judo, Japanese Jiu Jitsu and Aïkido. And really underestimated. It is natural that it is well present in Wado Ryu. You can use it without any blocking movement. If you do it properly, your adversary will just punch the air. His energy is waste in space. In Jiu Jitsu, the attacker (tori) throws himself on the ground. His own attack is turned against himself. It is a fine and noble art by himself. But as everything, you can hope to master it, long after your black belt. My masters teached me that you can win an hole fight just with that technic without anything else. Beauty of martial arts.

And he left his head uncovered in front of right hand of opponent ready to be hitted hard at the beginning of video. And he is a legend? Common guys...

Did you watch more of the video? He clearly shows the distance were you can easily be hit again... and then demonstrates back the the admired distance.. you don't want to be to far out because u have to travel all the way back in again.. you are the one who doesn't understand it it seems.

I trained and fought with Suzuki in the 90's and graded my Dan Grade from him. Hes a bloody legend, never met someone with so much power and speed, before you can even think about the attack coming at you its already over lol. Such an amazing man.

@@foamige Ok, is there any good video where a karateka execute ''Tai Sabaki'' against MMA fighters or kickboxers with succes? I would like to see it.

@@m96920 Tai Sabaki is a training tool to teach distancing, body movement and counter.......If you try and use it solely in a fight you are going to loose. Thats why its called training, you miss the understanding of what is being taught here. its part of a bigger picture that you integreate with your martial arts. Thats why its call Mixed Martial Arts friend.
