    Patriots are my team till I die, but we did have the ball last and the Eagles forced a Brady fumble. That was our chance to win it. Eagles made a big play.

      Been a fan since long before the Dynasty, long before the shopping for the groceries thing. Will always be a fan. With that being said, this end was inevitable. They owe all the success to each other, without one the other doesn't achieve the results they did together. The thing is they were so good for so long that many didn't know a world without the Patriots winning. Dynasty Boomers I call them, and it is too bad. Instead of appreciating the historic feats they accomplished and relishing what we witnessed, time is spent placing blame and arguing over who did what. I would often get ridiculed when I reminded people that sooner or later we would be the cellar dwellers of the league again. To enjoy the moment because it was fleeting. When Brady left I found myself actually enjoying games more, not because I didn't enjoying winning, but because winning wasn't a given. Why Butler didn't play or why Brady left isn't what matters now. What matters now is for 20 years we were the team everyone wanted to be.

    Super Bowl 53 the defense played great but Bill was still debating to go for it on 4th down in field goal range with a 7 point lead and Brady had to tell him “just kick the field goal”. He didn’t have to be the guy to convert the fourth down. Gost had his struggles but Brady had confidence for him to make the game sealing field goal. Bill was about to overthink it.

    As a Pats fan i can say, the way Bill would talk about Brady at times, you'd think he's some average player. Even now that they are no longer player/coach. Of course they have respect for each other. But there's something there. Look at how Bill talks about Lawrence Taylor. Bill lights up, smile from ear to ear when talking about LT. You can't shut him up about talking about LT. There's genuine joy in Bill when talking about LT. When Bill talks about Tom, it comes across. There's no joy in him when talking about Tom

    There is a growing negative response to the doc, mainly for what it left out. Ex-patriot players are complaining that they were duped. More Kraft-production talk. Matt tries to pitch himself as an outsider that went in as a blank slate, so he's unbiased, which is BS. If he doesn't partner with Jeff Ben, he doesn't get access,;which stinks, because now the Patriots may not open up again, and Jeff B, who had cred lost it.

    If you back and follow belichicks career with tom brady, all he did was praise brady, always... " no other QB I would want
    than Tom Brady"... but the media doesnt want to pull up these clips... this is total BS

      Any of those clips post 2014? I think back to the AFC championship game against the jags and Brady has 10 stitches in his throwing hand and Belichick shots it off "it's not open heart surgery" Belichick traded gronk to Matt Patricias dumpster fire lions in 2018 and gronk threatened to retire and the most important catch / play in that last Superbowl. If Belichick got his way the dynasty ends in 2016 with 4 superbowls, Belichick wanted to go with Jimmy glass who can't stay on the field.

      @@chadbinette3201 Yup all is true. They focused on his negativity in documentary, it was an obvious hit piece. He shipped out Gronk because Gronk was a big mouth goof. Bill gave these guys opportunities they wouldnt have got with anyone else most lkely.. Timing and luck works both ways.. Gronks catch, Butlers INT, Harrison not breaking up catch in SB, to being drafted 199 to the greatest coach of all time... Timing

      @@awesome6486 gronk was a goof ball but never got into trouble, never did anything to jeopardize the team or his career and did whatever was asked of him, he was basically an extra offensive lineman in that 2018 season. Always got the crap beat out of him and came back. I'm sorry but after all those years to trade the greatest tightend ever to a crap dysfunctional team like the Matt Patricia Detroit lions is low, especially mid season. And people act like Belicheck made some big move drafting Brady #199, guess what? That means Belichick passed on Brady 5-6 times too and if Bill thought Brady was going to be 30% of what he became he would of taken him earlier. I'll give a coach credit for giving a player a chance but whether it's Brady, gronk, Edelman , hightower, mccourty or even Patrick Mahomes or Joe burrow, they are where they are because of themselves, the player puts in the work, the extra work, the film study, the lifting (or plyability), and on. You can't make it to the NFL level without ability but how far you go is up to you and what you put into it. Of course injuries happens and can derail a career . But after all this time I'ld like to know what Belichick saw in Jimmy G to think he would ever be better than Brady? First chance he got to start he couldn't make 4 games during Brady's suspension.

      @@chadbinette3201 I dont blame him looking into another QB. I'm sure he wanted to move on to the future, etc.. Ironically it sparked Brady, which was the best thing for him, then wins 3 more SB. It wasnt Bill's plan but it helped both of them no doubt. Yes TB won the war no doubt. He was a fortunate guy that worked hard and got great disciplined coaching from Weis and BB. Everyone won in the end

    Brady and Belichek did not need stroking or TLC. They were there to motivate each other and not in a support group way. This is stating the obvious. They were competitors and not a coffee klatch at the church meeting.

    I remember reporters asking Bill if it was time to do a re-evaluation on the QB after the blowout loss to the Chiefs and he couldn't even keep a straight face. The lack of praise must have had something to do with the later half of SBs where Tom was considered the ultimate strength of the team and not the defense.

    Conveniently ignoring the EXORBITANT number of times Belichick - unsolicitedly - has said there is no QB he'd rather have than Tom Brady. And while we're piling on Bill, keep in mind that after 8 straight AFCC games Brady didn't even advance past the divisional round in 2 of his 3 years in without Belichick. The year he won, he had a disgustingly loaded super team, and once that fell apart he was just like every other great QB - got to the playoffs but couldn't advance. It's that simple.

    • @chadbinette3201
      @chadbinette3201 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You mean year won leads a 7-9 team to the Superbowl going through Brees, Rodgers and then Mahomes? Or year two when they list to the eventual Superbowl champs in the rams on a last play blown defensive call after Brady brought them back once again from 20+ down? Or year three when Brady was going through a divorce? In three seasons without Belichick Brady had 5 playoff wins while in 11 seasons without Brady Belichick has one playoff win in 1995. And funny no one was saying the buccaneers were a stacked roster when Brady went there. And then players like gronk , ab, fornette came cause they wanted to play with Brady. While the pats couldn't even pay players to come play for Belichick. Think what you want the last few years proved without Brady being the ultimate leader and team first QB belichecks "system" doesn't work.

      Simpleminded talking points. Without Brady in those three years, Belichick’s team had a losing record in two of them. The first time since the 2000 season, his first as Patriots head coach. The team that people called loaded had multiple losing seasons with Jameis Winston under center. Multiple players joined or stayed with the Bucs in free agency only because Tom Brady was coming to the team. Just because a team looks loaded on paper doesn’t mean that they will outperform their competition on the field. The hot takers predicted over and over that Cleveland, with their loaded lineup and number one pick overall QB, would make it to the Super Bowl. Instead, the hard luck team continued their underperforming losing ways. Baker Mayfield did not live up to expectations, to put it mildly.

And that Belichick would have been fired at the end of the season if Brady had been a bust. If Mo Lewis hadn’t knocked out Bledsoe, the Patriots would have been doomed to decades of mediocrity and there would have been an outcry from the fan base and Boston media for the team to have new ownership.
