In my place karaikudi this is called ukkara actually traditionally made of pacharasi kurunai n Paasi paruppu which is healthy but bcos of convenience ppl has changed to rava nowadays.. also ukkara and ukkali are different..

I am planning to buy a dishwasher...already having little doubts if it is really helpful..but y amma is not using dishwasher..are there really any drawbacks..are u using dishwasher regularly..could u please clarify me whether it is really useful?
I use them daily 2 to 3 times a day. It is very helpful. Amma has house help for sweeping and washing dishes from years back. So she uses them occasionally when there is so many dishes to wash.
