Yes she is! I met Kathy about 14 years or so ago, I believe she was living in Corona Ca with a woman who was my friend's mom. Anyway what happened was he asked me if I could go to Kathy's home to play guitar on a recording she wanted to do, a Pat Benatar cover I think, so I agreed to do it and played for Kathy, she really was so nice and she loved my guitar playing too! She actually showed me the pink Cadillac parked in her garage given her as a gift from Elvis, and she gave me an autographed copy of a book she wrote called Elvis and me.
Thank you Kathy for sharing such a beautiful tribute about Elvis. I wish more people would have loved Elvis like that. Also, memories of laughter when thinking of Elvis; so he never had to feel alone.
A lot of us know that but it's so good to read thank you for your comment just another fan I never met him but he touched me so deeply and I'll reiterate what you said the world was a nicer place when Elvis was in it
the little beautiful girl with the beautiful high voice! Thank you so much Kathy, that's how i think Elvis was...and you just convinced me. Elvis forever! To know him is to love hom!
Thank you Kathy for sharing! It was a joy hearing you with Elvis in concert...So thankful to have been to three of his concerts. You are a wonderfully uplifting lady with a beautiful gift and Elvis loved you too!
If only everyone spoke so fondly and well of Elvis (those close to him). He was a great human being and I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to see him live in concert when I was 11 years old. About a year before he passed away. It's a moment in time I will never forget. The energy in the building and charisma he exuded was phenomenal to say the least. A once in a lifetime experience. I've been a huge fan since I was a little kid. My Mother was also a huge fan of Elvis. I miss him to this day and I always will. I listen to his music often. A piece of me also died that fateful day in 1977 when Elvis past away. We will never see the magnitude of his celebrity ever again in our lifetime. May he rest in peace.
Kathy, thank you for the nice interview for us to view. The Concert on Apr 9, 1972 in the Hampton Roads Colisieum was the best concert I have ever seen in 50 years of going to concerts, and watching Elvis do those faces was priceless. We were in the 2nd row over the Stage Right entrance. When Glenn got him by starting with a different song then what he introduced that was funny. Again thank you for the many hours of listening to your voice on my Elvis DVD's. Blessings, James
Thank you so much for that Kathy hearing stories like that touch me cuz I loved Elvis though I never met him. I feel cheated never had seen him in person and that will always hurt but thanks to this time machine on TH-cam I can feel connected to people that moved me thank you for your story uplifting Elvis where he belongs
Thank you Kathy, you are a fantastic singer. Elvis was right that "Crying over you" is a good song for you. Thank you also for your description of Elvis Presley as a second Peter Sellers . I am convinced that Elvis was a very good man and could only sing the way he did because he was extremely sensitive. It makes me very sad that many people around him only tried to profit from Elvis and turned on him as soon as they couldn't do that anymore. Love you from Amsterdam.
Merci,Kathy! Elvis était un homme tout à fait"spécial" et un grand chanteur et artiste.Vous avez eu le bonheur de le côtoyer et de travailler avec lui. Elvis était unique et continuera à vivre dans nos coeurs!
what a sweet and beautiful lady you still are! You're so nice and sincere and talk openly about Elvis Presley. I think they both must have really loved each other!
well done kathy, elvis had great taste in friends and you look great today, god bless you little girl with the beautiful high voice... mark leen ireland.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS!!!!!!!!!! I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO HEAR FROM KATHY WESTMORELAND & HAVE NOT FOUND ANYTHING ON HER!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Kathy thank you for not bashing him your a great friend he had .and a fantastic singer love when I play a record and hear you,I loved the part when he would joke with you and others on stage I was to a concert in Buffalo New York back when never got close to the stage so thank you for being a good friend to him
Loved listening to Kathy's memories which confirm to me what a unique man Elvis was with a precious talent. Time and again so many people who lived and worked with him say exactly the same thing. The positives FAR outweigh the negatives for me concerning him. One thing I don't agree with her about is her joke that there should be more Elvis Presley's around. Elvis was unique and I don't want any other duplicates of Elvis's around. There will only ever be one Elvis Presley!
Joe Esposito said the same thing. He missed the laughter the most. He said when Elvis got to laughing during the making of a movie, they would have to stop production for a half hour until he could go on.
I came here after watching an interview with Micky Rooney's son's. They mentioned a Kathy and Elvis. They said she and Elvis were had a 7 year love affair , which no one knew.
What a charming woman! The people who knew him only say positive things about him. He was a very nice person. I still remember the day he died. It came as a chock her, because we did not get any information about his condition and way of life. I was very sad that day.
Kathy loved Elvis a had a brief relationship with him she said he was such a slow a gentle lover a that she enjoyed her alone private times w him. that he was a wonderful man a very spirtural. a loved god.
i appreciate Kathy's kind words, but Elvis did eat a lb of bacon for breakfast according to Nancy Rooks. She would know. She cooked for him for years at Graceland.
She was just great she is great I wish Elvis would have stayed with her I think he would have lived longer I don't know I just found her to be so cute and have such a great voice I mean for my choice she was right up there with Priscilla and Linda and all of them in the looks department she was tiny and had a great shape and I tell you if you haven't been with a little girl like that you don't know what you're missing her petite nest and her god-given Angel voice
I like her. I never saw this before my God one was this filmed and nobody ever talked about how ill he was but she knew they all knew and they all hit it. I’m not meaning that she’s the only one that brought it up. Nobody else did why
I hope this doesn’t come off as crass as I’m a big Elvis fan my whole life! I’m now 52 and can remember Elvis like it was yesterday. I’m sure anyone here who was alive August 16, 1977 knows exactly where they were and what they were doing when they heard the awful news... As far as Kathy? What an amazing voice!!! Still looks great! Ok, here is the part about being crass. How many girls was Elvis dating at once? Man if he ever lost his gift of voice, I’m sure Tom Parker, being the carnie he was, could have got Elvis in the circus being a juggler. Lol What’s messed up? Elvis was religious but committed adultly when having his affair with Kathy. I’m not judging, as it’s not my job...Elvis himself said he wore the Star of David as well as the Crucifix because he didn’t want to miss Heaven on a technicality! Just saying. Just imagine if he put a notch in his bedpost for all of his conquests...I’m thinking only Wilt Chamberlin bedded more woman. Lol It’s good to be KING!!
All the lady's that said they slept with Elvis, they all might be nice and talk nice about him. But why does people bash Cilla? Cilla loved him. Linda and Kathy slept with Elvis while he was still married. He was also seeing Joyce, and another girl named Sheila. Joyce and Ms, Parker said they had his baby. I just feel sorry for Cilla. She was so young,, and he was her first love. You always remember your first love.
"I wish that world were full of Elvis Presleys"
Great wish! I wish that too.
I thank her for not speaking bad of such a kind man.
People that badmouth him never met him! Everyone that met him never said a bad thing about him
Elvis was an Angel an Angel in Heaven today Amen
Kathy's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and her and Elvis were close friends right up until the end.

Bless you Kathy for speaking so fondly of Elvis, especially when he had been less than kind to you sometimes on stage.
Beautiful tribute glad to hear somebody say something good for a change, I miss him too Kathy. God bless you, Connie

How wonderful to hear such an inspiring tale of such a wonderful man! Hats off to you Kathy!

@@shanemichaels3083 that's how Elvis said it on stage.."the little beautiful girl with the beautiful high voice".
I am happy and greatful for the friendship that Kathy Westmoreland had with Elvis it's a great treasure God bless you Kathy 🌹
No one can be negative about Elvis, he was a polite, warm natured man.
Much loved by millions, we all miss him.
I wish the world was full of Elvis Presley's too. It would be a lot better place. Thanks for your warm memories. He is still loved by so many.
Thank you Kathy for sharing! It was a joy hearing you with Elvis in concert...So thankful to have been to three of his concerts. You are a wonderfully uplifting lady with a beautiful gift and Elvis loved you too!
That's the first I have heard of Elvis leaving a recording studio to go sing at a policeman's funeral. If true what a wonderful person Elvis was.
Lady Kathy , God bless you Elvis 👑🥇 God bless you kathy
I love you Kathy Westmoreland, from the videos I've seen you and Elvis collaboration, you were wonderful and Elvis was great too lol
Love u and thank u. We all still love u Elvis
You're right about her being so nice and sincere. It's easy to see why Elvis loved her.
Nice, sensitive person magnicent singer, Hello Kathy, thank you for being near Elvis in his last tragic days

Kathy seems to relate to a soulful Elvis. How a person relates to another person can very based on the soul connection.
Well, The King lives within all of us who loved him!
may GOD bless Kathy!

I think what she meant by wish there was more Elvis Presleys around is wish everybody can be as generous is what Elvis Presley was.
Joe Esposito said the same thing. He missed the laughter the most. He said when Elvis got to laughing during the making of a movie, they would have to stop production for a half hour until he could go on.
Kathy Westmore was SO beautiful back then when Elvis toured around in the 70th's
Great Kathy!!
she is a special lady
What a sweet lady.
So wish Kathy would reprint her book. We need to hear her story. We can't all afford $2000 book. We need to hear the stories that are true.

Beautiful Katy so wonderful woman.

Kathy talks about Elvis.
Actually she was speaking to Diana MaGrann, her manager. I'll have to check the year, but I think it was 1995.
for the guy who's comment was ' Kathy who ' you are obviously not an Elvis can,if you were you wouldn't have had to ask that question,
I read where Kathy had said that it was obvious right away that she and Elvis would neget be anything but friends.
Kathy loved Elvis a had a brief relationship with him she said he was such a slow a gentle lover a that she enjoyed her alone private times w him. that he was a wonderful man a very spirtural. a loved god.

nah cilla was cheating on Elvis too : - )
I agree
Nice lady.
Her book if beautiful. If you can get your hands on a copy it is worth the read. She was not a fan of the Memphis Mafia.
