I have arachnophobia but I actually like the insect skins well some of them I like the red ones for Kotal Skarlet and the yellow one for Baraka kinda because his are creepy the rest I hate
I honestly like the idea of Meleena no longer being insecure about her face and showing it and the rest of her body off, but I do think the execution on this skin was a bit off.
Is Mileena insecure really though? I think she believes she's beautiful, and it's the children who are wrong! The most awful is default Skarlet. Imagine having the power to gain strength through your enemy's blood on her skin ala Rogue (mentioned specifically in the comics) and she covers herself with half the entire cast's worth of cloth and leather and bags.

Any of Cassie's standard skins are really bad, specially the space suits with that awful design and haircut, luckily we Cassie mains got some great skins afterwards, with the Cassie Quen and Red dragon, those are one of the best of the game. Talking about males, the standard Raiden and Dracula skins are quite lame, but again, a godlike movie skin came to save the day, amazing ones.
Honestly I love Mileena’s Beauty Of The Beast skin I know it doesn’t fit her kharacter but I love how savage and animalistic it makes her look. (Surprisingly it’s something we don’t see a lot)
I like the costume too. I feel like saying “she’d never dress like this” is a bad argument. Raiden has a vampire custom, and Jade has a witch custom, etc.
And it doesn't make sense, Cassie is supposed to be a young girl, she should have the most "out there" outfits, or at least have a decent fashion taste
I wanted a warrior Mileena skin, yeah. I honestly like everything except for the shaved head. It feels like someone at NRS just wanted her to dress like that even though it contradicts her personality so much. It would be like giving Kitana a mohawk. Which may look cool, honestly, but Kitana would never do that.

When the question pops up of which are the worst skins in mk11 the first thing that comes in my mind is green scorpion and subzero (not even considering the thousands of disgusting recolors NRS threw in the Kript)
100% agreed. I love the idea of having shaders. But like Scorpion is known as the YELLOW Ninja but yet u can make him like, pink or green. For me at least it makes no sense. Same goes to the other “known by color characters” shuch as: Blue jade, red sub-zero, yellow kitana, orange mileena, green rain, etc... I think all the shaders for these characters should have at least some details in their main colors.
They should've kept scorpion and sub zero the same color they always were. They could've just messed with the shades of yellow orange blu etc. The only thing I'm ok with is red sub zero, bc the old grandmasters costume was red when bi han was sub zero.

The worst part about the revenant special forces skins is definitely revenant Jax. He’s the only one who was canonically a revenant out of the 4 and yet they reused his default design and made his skin grey instead of giving him a new design or giving us an updated version of his revenant skin from MKX
Literally personally I like the revenant special forces skin I don't really mind them keeping the default outfits but I hate revenant Jax because they didn't just update his mkx revenant skin it would have looked so cool
Warrior Mileena was my one of my favorites, because I think Mileena leaning into savagery is a unique take on her character. But I understand not liking the skin, I actually prefer her Kitana disguise. Especially when it's made to match Kitana's palette, reminds me of when she posed as Kitana in the old timeline.
It would be if not for the generic half shaved hair that they keep force feeding down our throats. That haircut is the lesbian equivalent of the Karen haircut.

Her MKX look is by far her best. That outfit was amazing. MKX overall had great design for most of the cast, Ermac, Takeda, most of the ladies. Kitana and Mileena never looked better than their defaults in that game.
I don’t like most of Kitana’s past self skins. They feel like lazy versions of the same skin. Just remove a few patches, throw in a cape. New skin. Or remove some parts of her pants and throw in a, honestly unappealing, skirt. I wish they’d added in some of her fits from her sketches instead. Some of them looked really cool.
In all fairness, I find loin-cloth Baraka strangely attractive, he's got a damn fine body.. like, probably shouldn't, but I'd be on my knees for him in a heart beat.
The Females look terrible in this game, the de-sexualization in MK11 (and even MKX and Injustice 2) did a great disservice to these iconic characters smh, the people who made those choices deserve to be put against a wall, Valentine's Day Massacre style.
I really like the Kytinn skins. They look gruesome. My only peeve about them is that Barakas skin still has a glitch so that his gear will not adjust to match the colors of those skins.

Fr Kotal’s one is actually one of my favorite skins for him. I don’t really like the ones where he’s not painted cuz I love that Indigenous headdress with the feathers. And they tried to recreate it in the Kythin one with the bug thing. It’s gorgeous.
I like Mileena without the mask. My only problem is that I think she would look better with the big crocodile teeth on the sides like when D'vorah killed her
Like your videos but strongly disagree on the mileena skin, especially with the changes Nrs makes to character story. So I can see it as an alternate skin. Also I like Cassie’s hair in mkx especially compared to mk11
Theres a LOT of bad skins in this game, i even think there are more bad than good skins overall, with so many unnecessary details, too much information, and lack of creativity with 73848175 recolors. But to me, some of the worsts are: Skarlet main skin, Space Cyborg Cassie, Naked D'Vorah, Naked Baraka, Eyeball Joker, Revenant shirtless Kung Lao, Shorts Kotal Kahn, Power Ranger Frost, shirtless rain, etc
I love that Rain skin, it looks like some Royal Greek clothes. It fits him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I imagine that as if he fought his father and took his place as a true god, then he decided to look more like a King. Hooded rain is the best one tho. (Edit) judge me, but I rly like that naked D’Vorah skin 😔

Mileena’s skin is extremely cool, it answers questions “what if she WAS in touch with her tarkatan side” and the hair is cultural to tarkatans so it kind of feels wrong to hate it

Same. I honestly liked it better than her MK11 hair. It highlights the “I’m young and hip” narrative that is sewed into her character and it looks nice.
That Mileena skin was my least favorite of her skins but it's starting to grow on me. That second Mileena skin you showed I like that skin because she's trying to cosplay Kitana and her default skin is my absolute favorite of the Mileena skins. Also that Revenant Sonya made sense because she was killed in the story mode but the sweatpants one didn't make sense and my favorite Sonya skin is her General skin
In defense of the meelina skin, I don't think saying that she wouldn't be caught dead wearing it is not really warranted since this game does delve into themes of multiple timelines so a meelina that embraces her tarkatan side does makes sense
NRS sucks because back when they were Midway they declared bankruptcy and were bought by WB Games, but back when they were just Midway they were very good and didn't have to listen to bad ideas ☠️
IMO I hate that glowed up, armored up Frost skin. I feel like that could have gave her something better like maybe one with a different hair style. Imagine frost with long hair
I agree with this list except for the Mileena one. At least in the Mileena skin they changed her hairstyle which is nice meanwhile the rest of the skins in this list are basically all the same with 0 effort put.
im sorry but the main difference between Cassie's old haircut and mileena's 1/3 shave haircut is that Cassie's hair was just styled incorrectly having the bun and this half assed shaven part near the bottom portion of her hair, it just looked wrong and like NRS didn't know which way to go in terms of styling her hair. Mileena's looks correctly proportioned and shaved in a more realistic and "neat" way
Personally i dont mind Tarkatan Mileena Costume. Even it'snt a canon with her, it's still a cool "What if ...?" It's like if we got an evil Khan Kitana or what if Sub-Zero got Scorpion's fate.

Same goes to me, I fought one Liu kang just like mine. I ended up using the alternate color in that set. But in the character select skin it was exactly the same, even the headbands, nunchakus and hand gears.
@@joeswanson.6180 well, judging that we have about 90 gear options and between 40-80 skins per character, I believe that on average, the chances you have to find someone with the same character and the same kit (gears, skin and shader) is at minimum 1/36.052.800 keep in mind, it can be higher depending on the character. That’s crazy LOL
I find sindel revenant skin is sooo much better than her human outfit. Wish we could have human sindel with her default revenant skins. She would looks so dangerously hot.
I do respect your opinions on these outfits, don’t want to seem like I’m straight up rejecting them, but I like to view many of these outfits as great concepts of their alternate reality selves. Mileena might’ve finally got fed up being treated like a monster and always trying to stack up to Kitana. So instead of sticking with her wall of a father and her uptight sister, maybe she decided to just embrace it and find the people who would meet her and grow to like her. In the case of Frost, that could be a look at her fresh out of the cyberfication. Kollector’s outfit is both straight from the story, and could also refer to a reality where his people are fully enslaved. It’s known that they’re straight up hated by basically all of outworld. Baraka’s is an interesting look at what Baraka might’ve looked like if he was born as a Kytinn warrior created from a tarkatan host. Same with the rest of them. I do agree with the revenant skins. They look like a second thought. Although personally I’m not a big fan of their appearance in general. I prefer the more zombie like looks in previous games since they are reanimated. Obviously they changed it to make them be able to be turned back to normal though. Sheeva’s is also a bit strange. We could stretch it and say that maybe she comes from a slightly different world that is just starting to grasp the idea of fashion, but I think that’s pretty weak. :/
Mk X Cassie looked fantastic. Her hair looked great and was brilliant visual storytelling to convey her awesome MK X character. Her MK X character design was absolutely top tier in MK X and is now rock bottom tier in MK 11.

Pretty simple, one is variety, second, marketing and psychologically speaking you need different designs that shape the value perception such as a good costume would be great in relation to the weaker one. It makes the gamers or customers feel more rewarded when they get something they really like. Finally, good is also subjective, some would actually like those designs and so they’re designed for them

I agree to disagree. "Naked" Kollector skin is awesome. Just as "naked" Baraka, this skin shows off the character's unique physique. The Mileena skin looks savage and is a breath of fresh air as she finally wears something unique and not stolen from Kitana's closet. Frost's skins offer variety in the degree and number of accessories used. Just as Jade's cape/capeless variants, these skins rock. Nitpicking about Sheeva while neglecting the only overdesigned costume which is Skarlet's default? LOL
I fundamentally disagree with half of this list. Mileena’s Tarkatan skin is one of my favorites in the game and it wouldn’t be unheard of for her to embrace that after giving up on trying to be “conventionally beautiful” Sheeva is definitely NOT over-saturated with armor and accessories. There are PLENTY of characters in the roster who need to be addressed of their excessive gear, especially all the male characters who are caked in armor. The Kytinn skins are 👏THE👏BEST👏SKINS👏PUT👏OUT👏BY👏KL👏 DO NOT DISRESPECT OUR QUEEN 😡😤 Lastly the WORST skins in the game for me are the GOD-AWFUL revenants. They add nothing to their respective characters besides inflated armor. The skin tones are so ugly, especially representing default skins. I’m ready to move on from half of the roster being revenants because they’re so uninspired and generally hard to look at. Also Skarlet’s skins belong on this list
So the natural next step is the Best skins of MK11, the only problem is that there are So Many Good Skins. So maybe a few videos dedicated to the best skin ls for the given characters you want to cover. Or maybe a video to the characters who Have the best skins and go over the skins that stand out for them
Yeah no, they would definitely need to update Sheeva's classic outfit if they were going to re-release it tbh. It's just a bland V-cut swimsuit with a belt and that's not really her "Queen of the Shokan" vibe anymore, but I agree on hating that overdesigned version of the classic.
I like so much MKX Cassie she was so perfect her personality (she can be serious and positive and joyful), her look, her costumes, her intractions, her moves. I see Cassie in MK11 as different character. When I first saw her trailer I thought that she was some feminime teen tiktok boy. Her only good costumer are Harley Quinn and her MKX DLC skin. If Cassie be in MK12 I want her look and act more like she was in MKX. On other side I proud of NRS how well they fix Jacqui and make her better character only miss her costumes from MKX like her alternative and cyber.
For mileena's warrior I kinda thought it was like her accepting the tarkatan half but still trying to look superior but I agree that she wouldn't wear it and really wish I could change her hair. As for gym rat Sonya I think they were going for a classic Sonya look until they added her original clothes but still not a bad one. As for frost and many other characters it's just the same as the default one minus a piece of clothing and some characters like jaqui have alternate skins that are just the same one but with a jacket and hair down or without the chest piece. Also jaqui's she-spawn outfit is ok but I hate how they did the face and I really don't care for her alternate timeline skin because those ones are tied to her dad's wakanda like ending. If they do another skin pack I want mkx default skins for jaqui and the others introduced in it even though devora and kotal look exactly the same.
dvorah should have a new redesign for her having the new models for the bug skin and the fact that she has some themes of evolution( her friendship giving her wings ) and her lore depicting that she can grow depending on the body she inhabits it thinks it's more natural to give her a new look
I agree with you in all of them. Specially Mileena cuz infortunately NS doesn't care at all about history details. Really sad that Mortal Kombat was more than blood and now it's just a pretty game with a cuestionable studio and mediocre.
the worst of all in the customes are how much they cover the naked skin on female characters. Seriously, Skarlet, Jade, Sheeva, Mileena and Kitana are ruined. I hope we see customes in future MK-games related to old ones like Deception, Deadly Alliance, MK9 or Armageddon.

Other than a couple of KL recolours, Kollector is the only base game character to have no extra DLC skins. Such a shame.

When the question pops up of which are the worst skins in mk11 the first thing that comes in my mind is green scorpion and subzero (not even considering the thousands of disgusting recolors NRS threw in the Kript)
100% agreed. I love the idea of having shaders. But like Scorpion is known as the YELLOW Ninja but yet u can make him like, pink or green. For me at least it makes no sense.
Same goes to the other “known by color characters” shuch as: Blue jade, red sub-zero, yellow kitana, orange mileena, green rain, etc...
I think all the shaders for these characters should have at least some details in their main colors.
They should've kept scorpion and sub zero the same color they always were. They could've just messed with the shades of yellow orange blu etc. The only thing I'm ok with is red sub zero, bc the old grandmasters costume was red when bi han was sub zero.

Warrior Mileena was my one of my favorites, because I think Mileena leaning into savagery is a unique take on her character. But I understand not liking the skin, I actually prefer her Kitana disguise. Especially when it's made to match Kitana's palette, reminds me of when she posed as Kitana in the old timeline.

Her MKX look is by far her best. That outfit was amazing. MKX overall had great design for most of the cast, Ermac, Takeda, most of the ladies. Kitana and Mileena never looked better than their defaults in that game.

I don’t like most of Kitana’s past self skins. They feel like lazy versions of the same skin. Just remove a few patches, throw in a cape. New skin. Or remove some parts of her pants and throw in a, honestly unappealing, skirt. I wish they’d added in some of her fits from her sketches instead. Some of them looked really cool.

The Females look terrible in this game, the de-sexualization in MK11 (and even MKX and Injustice 2) did a great disservice to these iconic characters smh, the people who made those choices deserve to be put against a wall, Valentine's Day Massacre style.
I really like the Kytinn skins. They look gruesome. My only peeve about them is that Barakas skin still has a glitch so that his gear will not adjust to match the colors of those skins.

Fr Kotal’s one is actually one of my favorite skins for him. I don’t really like the ones where he’s not painted cuz I love that Indigenous headdress with the feathers. And they tried to recreate it in the Kythin one with the bug thing. It’s gorgeous.

Theres a LOT of bad skins in this game, i even think there are more bad than good skins overall, with so many unnecessary details, too much information, and lack of creativity with 73848175 recolors. But to me, some of the worsts are: Skarlet main skin, Space Cyborg Cassie, Naked D'Vorah, Naked Baraka, Eyeball Joker, Revenant shirtless Kung Lao, Shorts Kotal Kahn, Power Ranger Frost, shirtless rain, etc
I love that Rain skin, it looks like some Royal Greek clothes. It fits him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I imagine that as if he fought his father and took his place as a true god, then he decided to look more like a King. Hooded rain is the best one tho.

That second Mileena skin you showed I like that skin because she's trying to cosplay Kitana and her default skin is my absolute favorite of the Mileena skins. Also that Revenant Sonya made sense because she was killed in the story mode but the sweatpants one didn't make sense and my favorite Sonya skin is her General skin
In defense of the meelina skin, I don't think saying that she wouldn't be caught dead wearing it is not really warranted since this game does delve into themes of multiple timelines so a meelina that embraces her tarkatan side does makes sense

im sorry but the main difference between Cassie's old haircut and mileena's 1/3 shave haircut is that Cassie's hair was just styled incorrectly having the bun and this half assed shaven part near the bottom portion of her hair, it just looked wrong and like NRS didn't know which way to go in terms of styling her hair. Mileena's looks correctly proportioned and shaved in a more realistic and "neat" way

The other day I was playing Joker and this guy had the exact same skin, gear, and character as me so I had a black suit version of joker. Just thought about mentioning that :)
Same goes to me, I fought one Liu kang just like mine. I ended up using the alternate color in that set. But in the character select skin it was exactly the same, even the headbands, nunchakus and hand gears.

@@joeswanson.6180 well, judging that we have about 90 gear options and between 40-80 skins per character, I believe that on average, the chances you have to find someone with the same character and the same kit (gears, skin and shader) is at minimum 1/36.052.800 keep in mind, it can be higher depending on the character. That’s crazy LOL

I do respect your opinions on these outfits, don’t want to seem like I’m straight up rejecting them, but I like to view many of these outfits as great concepts of their alternate reality selves. Mileena might’ve finally got fed up being treated like a monster and always trying to stack up to Kitana. So instead of sticking with her wall of a father and her uptight sister, maybe she decided to just embrace it and find the people who would meet her and grow to like her. In the case of Frost, that could be a look at her fresh out of the cyberfication. Kollector’s outfit is both straight from the story, and could also refer to a reality where his people are fully enslaved. It’s known that they’re straight up hated by basically all of outworld. Baraka’s is an interesting look at what Baraka might’ve looked like if he was born as a Kytinn warrior created from a tarkatan host. Same with the rest of them. I do agree with the revenant skins. They look like a second thought. Although personally I’m not a big fan of their appearance in general. I prefer the more zombie like looks in previous games since they are reanimated. Obviously they changed it to make them be able to be turned back to normal though. Sheeva’s is also a bit strange. We could stretch it and say that maybe she comes from a slightly different world that is just starting to grasp the idea of fashion, but I think that’s pretty weak. :/

Mk X Cassie looked fantastic. Her hair looked great and was brilliant visual storytelling to convey her awesome MK X character. Her MK X character design was absolutely top tier in MK X and is now rock bottom tier in MK 11.

Pretty simple, one is variety, second, marketing and psychologically speaking you need different designs that shape the value perception such as a good costume would be great in relation to the weaker one. It makes the gamers or customers feel more rewarded when they get something they really like. Finally, good is also subjective, some would actually like those designs and so they’re designed for them

Frost's skins offer variety in the degree and number of accessories used. Just as Jade's cape/capeless variants, these skins rock.

Sheeva is definitely NOT over-saturated with armor and accessories. There are PLENTY of characters in the roster who need to be addressed of their excessive gear, especially all the male characters who are caked in armor.

I like so much MKX Cassie she was so perfect her personality (she can be serious and positive and joyful), her look, her costumes, her intractions, her moves. I see Cassie in MK11 as different character. When I first saw her trailer I thought that she was some feminime teen tiktok boy. Her only good costumer are Harley Quinn and her MKX DLC skin. If Cassie be in MK12 I want her look and act more like she was in MKX. On other side I proud of NRS how well they fix Jacqui and make her better character only miss her costumes from MKX like her alternative and cyber.
For mileena's warrior I kinda thought it was like her accepting the tarkatan half but still trying to look superior but I agree that she wouldn't wear it and really wish I could change her hair. As for gym rat Sonya I think they were going for a classic Sonya look until they added her original clothes but still not a bad one. As for frost and many other characters it's just the same as the default one minus a piece of clothing and some characters like jaqui have alternate skins that are just the same one but with a jacket and hair down or without the chest piece. Also jaqui's she-spawn outfit is ok but I hate how they did the face and I really don't care for her alternate timeline skin because those ones are tied to her dad's wakanda like ending. If they do another skin pack I want mkx default skins for jaqui and the others introduced in it even though devora and kotal look exactly the same.
dvorah should have a new redesign for her having the new models for the bug skin and the fact that she has some themes of evolution( her friendship giving her wings ) and her lore depicting that she can grow depending on the body she inhabits it thinks it's more natural to give her a new look

the worst of all in the customes are how much they cover the naked skin on female characters. Seriously, Skarlet, Jade, Sheeva, Mileena and Kitana are ruined. I hope we see customes in future MK-games related to old ones like Deception, Deadly Alliance, MK9 or Armageddon.
