Thanks for the memories! Owned one new 1980, gold and black. Toured it all over Europe. Those linked Brembo brakes, and super stable handling kept me safe. Even had the exact same keyring fob! Great nostalgia for me.

2:05 these old Guzzi's sound so fly..... especially on the overrun. Nice. And the Triumph Spitfire is there too.

Che emozione rivederla dopo tanti anni
La mia era color oro, bellissima e molto fedele.
Non io purtroppo che la ho sostituita con 4 in linea Giapponese.
Una delle decisioni peggiori della mia vita. Bach!

I owned a "SP". Loved it, except the front fork damping was a joke. I think they must have had fish oil in them. I added the "BUB" large capacity oil pan with external filter. Bead blasted the exhaust and went high heat flat black. Beautiful.

hey Moe wondering how tall you are? looks like im about your size and ive been looking at these bikes. been told larger guys have problems on these. (knees into side panels, fairing buffeting)

I had one just like that, same colours and everything. Biggest problem with them is the suspension, undamped rear shocks and rock hard front forks that give your arms a pounding. Oh yeah, and it seemed to be slower accelerating than a big BMW, which was not good. But it had a load of class. I think though that the 850's are probably the nicer bikes, 500cc per pot creates quite a bit of vibration.

I know this is long Sold, but still fun to watch as though I am a prospective buyer. Paying attention to the details as he goes over the bike.I am listening and wondering what it really does or doesn't need and if it is a smart choice......and then he takes off down the street and then you hear it and then your nuts kind of vibrate and then the only thought is that I want it......

It's a push-rod valve train, noisy when cold, easily adjusted.
