- Migrants get the blame for problems; fear and suspicion against migrants is stirred. Violence follows against this minority and escalates. (In actual fact, the nation relies on the workforce of migrants and other minorities.)
But courageous people come to the rescue.
It has happened in history: A new pharaoh ruling in Egypt stirring fear and violence, a new leader in Germany 1933 doing the same … should that repeat?
The focus story inspires courage as God-fearing peoples’ courage rises: courage to rescue lives. The sharpest edge is when children are at risk. Here parents are in anguish, they ‘let go’ to preserve the child’s life through adoption. (It reminds of ‘Kindertransport’.)
Now is the time to be courageous.
