“When Jesus is Lord, then (xyz) is not!” To say this or that president/ ruler/ queen or king “is not the Lord over everything and all - but Jesus is” can be dangerous and need great courage. And “Jesus is Lord” can also be liberating:
liberating to see the world in a much wider horizon, an expectation of impartial justice, peace and hope. This horizon makes it worthwhile and possible for us to live and work towards that goal, because that is where Christ leads the world anyway. ”Jesus is Lord” then is radical hope that does not give up on this world.
