Great stories. Here is one for Mr Cohn: YES Bob Dylan is a nice generous person and FUNNY!
I have been a fanatical type fan since the mid 70s.
He was generous to Indiana showing up annually at least or so. I’ve see him at least 50 times.
Sooo… 2004. Chronicles had just been released. A dozen of us left as before the encore so we could go to the theatre stage door.
We cheered for the band as they exited and got in the buses. Then he appeared at the door - the lights around him seemed like a halo! My then 14 year old son ( I think my son aided the cause) hollered to him “hey Bob can you sign our books?”
He came toward us and we all just went crazy - about a dozen or so - my gang was only 4 of the people.
So my son greets him telling him that his mom (me) has been a fan a long time and that he also enjoys his songs. He shook hands and said thanks.
My friend stood shoulder to shoulder telling him that she enjoyed the parts about New Orleans because she lived there a year before he did. He quips, “wish I’d a known ya!”
My son held the books open as he signed our books.
Eventually I had a chance to greet him and just asked if I could kiss his cheek and he said, “sure” and stuck his cheek out!
    As sweet as could be!
Soon after there would be a lot more security and not so easy ability for him to flex like that.
I share this to tell people ge would if he could! (Be nice to us all)
I hope Mr Cohn sees this!
