- Full interview with Witchfinder, Earthquake, Virgin Killer and O. Thunder of Helvetets Port. Helvetets Port is a Swedish heavy metal band. They are part of the NWOTHM or the New Wave of Traditional Heavy metal. A wave that started in the early 2000's. They have released two studio albums; Exodus to Hell in 2009 and From Life to Death in 2019. This is the full interview plus additional outtakes from the New Wave of Metal documentary. Enjoy!

IMO one of the most interesting bands around these days. I mean how many people do you know who; one even heard of Kim Sixx and two, say they are one of there main influence and you can actually hear it in the music they play. You can say they look like they take it to serious but I think they are just obsessed with the love they have for (obscure) Heavy Metal. And aren't all Metalheads obsessed with the music they love? These guys are the real deal.

Kim Sixx influences being noticeable is like the best compliment I've ever heard!
That Virgin Killer's KAT shirt makes me proud being polish. We have a few influential bands from 80's, good to know there are some people who recognize such bands.

These guys are charming and charismatic. I've been listening to their music on you tube. A perfect balance between not very hi-fi but not low-fi either. Very organic and analog sounding. The song you play between the interview scenes,the title track to their album From life to death, is arguably the greatest riff I've heard in years. Can't get it out of my head. I'm also amazed how Swedes speak English so bloody well! Yes you have accents but grammatically it's superb! Good stuff! Hail to Helvetets Port and Ruthless Metal!

Skelator (spelled with the extra A) was another heavy metal band that was active during the early 00’s lull. They have remained active. Check out their recently released track “Psychic Silver Wheels”.

Well, there kind of was a "new wave of classical music" in the 1900's, that's where the term "neoclassic" music comes from.

Old skool Scandinavian metal, IMO you can't get better than what comes out of Sweden.

man as much i've lived & breathed metal for nearly 40yrs i had to stop watching this i just cannot take these guys seriously
