I'm trying this pattern. I have my dress cut out and am slowly piecing it together. This tutorial seems clear and helpful. I can only work on it a little at a time since work is busy right now, but I will update when I'm done. Thanks for this video. I really like it!
You could cut extra lining using the same outer shell pattern pieces, and then layer the outer sheer fabric + lining fabric together, treating it as one pattern piece as you sew. You could do the same for the skirt portion, though if you want to keep the skirt lining separate, cut as mentioned above but shorten about 5/8” at the hem, attach so that the wrong side with seam allowance is towards the body, and attach the zipper so it is exposed from the inside (instead of hidden as shown in the tutorial) ♡

how would you recommend going about the lining if you're using a sheer shell fabric so you don't see the stitches on the inside
