    Thanks for the video, it was really helpful; however, I've a quick question! What if we have misplaced our original birth-certificate, will it cause any issue in the police verification after I apply for to renew passport from Ireland. Please suggest if there's another alternative for the birth-certificate. I look forward to your response.

    Hi there could you please tell me what is the right procedure for getting the police clearance certificate for passport renewal in Ireland? I applied on the Indian passport seva website for PCC but when my brother went to the police station he was told it has to be sent from Indian embassy in Dublin. But the embassy website says I have to get police verification report from India. Please help and thanks in advance.

    • @TheRuchira15
      @TheRuchira15  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Amit, If you are applying from Ireland; obviously you cant go to India to get your PCC. I think it wont make sense bcoz if you have to go then you would have applied your renewal from India. Therefore, if you have watched my video. You need to fill a particulars form; provide names and address of people who will vouch for you in the form and mention a nearby police station. Thats it, rest the police will do it themselves. In case of delay, the police station given can be contacted by someone from your family. i hope this helped. :)

      Yes you need to send your old passport too . You will not get a new print of visa in your new passport , for that you need to carry both the passports while travelling. Also just for your information, INIS has discontinued giving visa stamps on passports . So pls carry your GNIb when travelling. Hope this answered your ques. :) thanks

      Hi, you don’t have to literally go to the police station to get verified. Since you already have a passport and it’s a renewal which you require, once you mention the name of neearest police station in ur application they will do the verification themselves . Pls check my full video

      Another question is can I apply for reissue of my passport from India? If I apply from India and i get a new passport, will a dispute will arise at Ireland immigration due to the addition of surname in my new passport?

    Hello folks, really informative video as usual. I have the following questions.
    1. My passport expires in April 2023 ? By when at most can I start my renewal process ? From April 2022 onwards itself ?
    2. At 2:39 , you skipped mentioning that you need to even send your current original passport (which is about to expire). Did you send your original passport by post ? Does that mean that we cannot travel for the next 2 months until the new passport has been received ?
    3. Does the new passport and the old passport come by post if self-addressed registered envelope is used ?
    Thanks in advance for the info.

      May be somehow I missed that , my apologies . Yes you have to send your original passport as they punch the older passport and make it obsolete . So till the time you don’t receive the new one u can’t travel, plan accordingly.
