There was another show that aired around the same time as Ace Lighting that combined CGI with live-action: Shoebox Zoo. The premise was a girl named Marnie getting five animal figures on her 11th birthday which come to life. Turns out that they were once human and students of the great wizard Michael Scot (no, it's not Steve Carell), cursed into their current forms for stealing his Book of Forbidden Knowledge. As the Chosen One, it is Marnie's destiny to find the book and return to Michael so that the curse on the Shoebox Zoo can be undone, before it falls into the hands of the evil shapeshifter Toledo, who plans to use it's power to, what else, take over the world.

Dude, I remember watching Ace Lightning as a young lad! I’m still glad that my dad introduced me to this show when I was 7-years-old. I also played the PS2 game (Too bad it wasn’t really good).
It was a really fun experience to watch this show, since it’s not as popular as other kids shows that I grew up with, like Merlin, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Total Drama.
Same, I used watch this with my brother on a old bulky combo TV with a built in VHS player with an indoor aerial attached to the TV

I watched this when I was 8, which coincidentally is the IQ of the script writer.
Well that was super weird and now bloody hooked. So I guest yes want see more I’m confused lol.

There was another show that combined CGI with live-action back in 1997 called Van-pires, but it only lasted 1 season as it was hot garbage.
The PC game based off this show still to this day remains the hardest game I have ever played. Still never completed it to this day the 3rd to last boss fight I found impossible.
