@@Sebulba2000and I believe the game has an unlocked framerate So that’s means if they were to make it compatible on series x and Xbox one it would probably run 60fps like gta 4 does
My sister gives me her old PS3 and I bought a used copy of this game but the damned thing kept freezing so I returned it. The disc did not look damaged so I figured it was the console. I now wish that I had tried another copy. Loved the movie.
First off with what makes this game a good but SEVERELY flawed game is the forced use of the enviroment to make levels, examples are the rolling cylinders that either drop you down or send you to death on WALL-E earth levels, or the use of hoverchairs, layzer beamz as hazard zones, and ventalation shafts that boot wall-e around the air on axiom levels, it makes the game feel interesting gameplay-wise, but hampers with the experience of playing the game, as everything feels like it's all the same, just retextured
Second is level design, OH GOD the level design. Starting with the WALL-E levels, they feel like as if wall-e's controls were built around the levels, when in my opinion it should be the other way around. Because the levels were made to be wacky in a way(i mean, your litterally using trash, dumbells and freaking FLIP PHONES as a throwable weapon/tool to get around the map), it makes it feel unnatural, linear, and worst, demanding. You can't even go one section of the WALL-E levels without HAVING to do something to get past the level, wether it be fixing BnL machines, throwing trash at targets or into buckets, etc. It forces the person to always be doing something, it never gives the user a chance to stop and take a break, its GOGOGO 24/7. Possibly the worst of the level designs are the ones where WALL-E is using EVE's arm cannon, where you have to combat different types and amouts of steward bots, navigate across either a huge Robot command center that is way too big for any logical reason, and causes my xbox360 to take the shitter every time and drop below 30 frames, or being stationary on a moving platform and having to defeat steward bots and doge their layzer beamz or face being layzer diced and fall into a bottomless pit. Its a huge mess. And the worst parts of these levels are the steward bot mega battles, where you have to defeat a rediculous amount of steward bots in a small, confined cube. They are rage inducing, unnecessarily hard, and incredibly annoying. The EVE missions aren't much better either. EVE gets bearly any game time, and only has only like 2 or 3 missions for herself. On i think the 2 earth missions, you have EVE explore a large map and do what she did in the first half of the film, search for life. Problems already arrive, as a meteor(or BnL satellite, cant remember) convieniently collides into a boulder that was conveniently blocking an entrance to a cave. What? That makes no sense! There was a much better way to handle that! We know from the film EVE can blast HUGE chunks of boulders and tear appart BnL frieght ships, so why can't she just blast the boulder blocking the way? After doing that cave doodad(i really dont care about the tarversing and navigating through obstacles in a tunnel sections) we get into the single most annoying sections of the game, finding signs of life in a set time, and finding BnL power stations across the map. For one, the sonar does jack shit, 2nd, they put the deactivated WALL-E bots and BnL power stations in stupid locations, it also doesnt help that the WALL-E bots completely blend in with the landscape, causing frustration and annoyed levels to rise. That basicly sums up the earth missions, aside from some variations, like going through the frieght ships.
The only space EVE level is actually decent in my opinion, your shooting the huge Trash blocks that the WALL-A's make and shoot to space. It's a nice breather and lets you actally explore without being FORCED to do it on a time limit, unlike the earth levels for EVE
I remember this game during different parts of the story I spent hours trying to solve these parts like figuring out how to pass that robot back on earth towards the beginning but the one thing I won’t forget is the many games I’ve played with my young sister back on the Wii with the split screen killing each other oh man we had a blast would love reminisce this game again
