Fabulous performance of an insanely difficult piece. It is a real tour de force for piano and cello worthy to stand along side Rachmaninoffs great piano concertos which it truly is

라흐마니노프 피아노 소나타에 첼로선율이 얹어진듯한 소나타. 피아노 자체만으로도 좋은데 첼로에 딱딱 맞춰주는것에 전율이!! 최고입니다.

This is the finest available performance of this masterpiece. Two giant performers of the current scene.
Responsive to the emotional changes in the work, a great one from Rachmaninoff.
Both performers record for the same label...could there be a recording of this on the market?
라흐의 유일한 첼로소나타 일반적인 피아노 첼로 소나타와 달리 첼로와 피아노연주가 비등하게 연주되길 원했다!!

lol, i think the finest performance of the Rachmaninov cello sonata on YT is with Lynn Harrell and Yuja Wang. Rostropovich are also great, but on disk I would go for Gastinel / Aimard, unbelievable playing, from both.
This is more into the music, Rachmaninoff actually favoured clarity in performances of his music, which is what you hear above. You can hear it all. Heard Rostropovich and Harrell, less reflective than Elschenbroich for my money. Son more detailed than the other pianists. Haven't heard Gastinel/Aimard.

I haven't head Gastinel and Aimard but all recordings of Gastinel that I know of are of pure delight, incredible musicality, integrity and taste.

It’s a very beautiful sonata and these musicians do a good job. However I like the performance by Isata and Sheku Kanneh-Mason better.
