    Thank you for this very informative video! I notice you saying that you get the books used. Can you tell me where you got them from? I'm doing the Celta in February

    Hello Tetyana! These are great sources, thanks for sharing with us. As an English teacher, I've decided to study skills this summer. I've just checked online for second-hand books but unfortunately, they are on 30 dollar band. :(

      I often but used books, they are cheaper. Try amazon.com anybooks.biz. or abebooks.de

      @@TetyanaSkrypkina No, I haven’t seen that yet, but I’ll look into it. I’m planning to take a CELTA course the next summer, but I’m concerned about my writing skills. They are so poor. Thanks once again!

    Great video! Very helpful Tetyana, I like your passion. Those books will be going straight onto my reading list :) There are so many, many books out there, it's difficult to make a decision. Even if a book has a good review, it might be an old book and an old review, suffice to say, it is meaningless. It's good you have your favourite authors. I noticed none of the books you show are specifically titled 'CELTA', they are just general English / pronunciation / vocab. Does that mean there aren't many available? Keep up the great work!

      What books do you have?

    • @markyt6594
      @markyt6594 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not yet, but I will :) I have a few books, not many. There's so much free content on youtube: grammar lessons, classroom management techniques etc. I have the following books; Essential TEFL by Jenkin / Foers, Essential Teaching in Schools by Kyriacou, Punctuation Made Easy in One Hour by the Sunday Times, Mangled English by Gervase Phinn and The Cambridge TKT Course by Spratt, Pulverness and Williams.

    • @TetyanaSkrypkina
      @TetyanaSkrypkina  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      well, you may get one of these books in the video. but it is good idea to start your tkt book. please note, that after each chapter you can find what the authors recommend to read more about the chapter.

    Hats off!
    I'm a teacher of English in Morocco (5 yrs of experience) nd I'm thinking about teaching abroad.
    Is Celta enough to teach English in Canada?
    Your tips, please
    Thanks in advance

      I think that CELTA is a good course and you can benefit from it. I highly recommend to talk to people, who hire teachers in Canada. In some places it can be enough I think. However, I am not knowledgeable about it.

      To work there you need a working visa. Before going there, have a look the salaries and see if it is enough for your lifestyle. If your salary is 1800 € and to rent an apartment to live without roommates - 1000€ a month, for example, you should decide if it is ok for you. Just saying an example, not about Canada. Contact a company to know their requirements.
