  • Garry Adelman is joined by Stuart Sanders, Taylor Bishop and Micah Trent to discuss the Confederate attack made by Maj. Gen. Simon B. Buckner near the Bottom House at the Battle of Perryville.
Please disregard the poor audio quality as best as you can. We unfortunately had a malfunctioning microphone.
Look for our numerous videos on TH-cam over the next week, and special thanks to all the donors who helped make this trip possible!

Well done! Thank You PERRYVILLE for carrying the torch and preserving history. Mr. Jim Mayes would be proud of all of you and your dedication to the battlefield!! I recommend everyone to take a weekend and visit PERRYVILLE when you feel like stepping back in time. And Thank You to all the residents in PERRYVILLE for being good to me growing up through the 70's and 80's visiting family. I never forget you and always carried the message of how important this battle was. THANK YOU!!!

We stumbled upon this battlefield on a road trip. Had a great time learning about Kentucky's biggest Civil War battle.

Thanks so much for the video! My 3rd Great Grandfather was in the 37th Tennessee Infantry under Johnson. Fighting right there where you are standing!

thanks for the video. I am from Venezuela and few people in my country (I think less than 0.1 %) know there is a guy named Simon Bolivar who fought in the american civil war. In my case, that was the reason I started to get interest in knowing about the civil war

Thanks Y'all . I've been following your recent trip. You are getting it right in this new tech age. I'm not young, but I really believe that new tech is great for bringing this content to new viewers. Reenacted at Perryville many times (8th Ark). Gary and Col. Sanders rock, and young Bishop Taylor i being included is a great way to bring youngsters into the fold. I was hooked at 14 without TH-cam etc., but I'm certain your new initiatives at ABT will hook new lovers of the CW. Keep it up. I truly await new vids!!

I visited Perryville in late June and walked the battlefield alone without knowing anything at all. Learned a little about the battle but embarrassingly didn’t see the creek or the Bottom House . I thought I saw everything. Thank you for the videos!

Would be cool if you made a video about the role of Indians during the Revolution as well as the civil war.
