If you look at the pilots when you swap mechs, the names swap around so your pilot is always attributed as the one controlling whichever mech you're in. This is why I generally try to pick one mech each mission to pilot and I only swap if it becomes necessary (need to retreat or finish the mission in a speedy mech, or my mech is blowed up. lol) I felt so sad when you sold that LBX and then so happy when you were able to repurchase it. hahaha
I still can't believe I managed to take down a Tier 19 Defense mission with just a RVN-4X, 2 FLE-15's, & a LCT-1M. Sure, I lost one of the Fleas & Lt. Freeman - the guy you get from the first-ever Defense mission, who comes with a Jenner-D - & I decided to load the auto-save of getting into the system so I could get him back - which means it's like it never happened - but that was still amazing. Taking down a couple tanks, a few Warriors, two Spiders, a Cicada, a Crab, & FOUR Shadowhawks with nothing but a pair of MP Lasers, two MG's, & an SRM-4-ST. One Flea had two MG's, two ML's, two SL's, & an SPL, while the other had the same but 3 SPL's, & the Locust had two SSRM2-ST's & a TAG. Now, why I saw one of the Fleas stand literally nose-to-nose with a Shadowhawk exchanging MG fire with the guy when Fleas are best used running around, I have no idea, but I still managed to beat the mission.
I really Like the building parts. The longer the better! Improving mechs from the technical readouts was the most fun when playing p&p battletech as a kid.
Love Baradul but I always find it funny that even after 10+ runs of this game, modded or not, he isnt aware of some basic concepts. Makes me giggle everytime!
46:00 No, the original size was 27.56 km^2 and the new size was 19.68 km^2. I believe that the weather can also change in between missions on remaining contracts, as well.
Anything you sell you can buy back for the same price as long as you are still in the same system. That is a huge QoL feature, it saves so much time not having to deal with "oh shit I need to reload and lose all that time I spent on builds because I accidentally sold that thing I was going to use" moments.
Yeah rebuilding is all part of the game, and its quite enjouable trying to find the right mix for your mechs. One mech i can't seem to find is the stone rhino, anybody got any ideas where i can find one?? Keep up the good games Bara.
You need to download the mod separately that adds this mech. Then you'll fight against it during missions eventually. Top mounted gauss rifles are excellent on it
@@Cenot4ph Hya Yeah got the mod downloaded, been fighting nothing but the clans and have had no luck with it, was wondering if it might be if you fight another faction that you get it.
I love LBX autocannons, they're probably my favorite weapons in the game (a close second being SRMs). I find cluster works amazingly well for all fliers, tanks and turrets within 2-300m, and point blank mechs. A couple of headshots with cluster at point blank range will bring down anything
I love my marauders. There is one I really love and I have never come across another one in the 3 campaigns I have done and months and months of looking. The Marauder IIC 2x
I enjoy the build videos. Theory crafting is one of the biggest draws of Mechwarrior games for me. But I do tend to avoid Clan mechs because of the repair and upkeep costs. IS Mechs with Clan weapons and equipment is where it's at for me. 😊
mech lab is a big part of the game, i find it amusing when you go shopping, your like a kid in a candy store, also the light rifles arent as bad as you think, in vanilla the cool down on them is about the same as large chem lasers and when you just dont have the tonnage but want a little extra something they are ok, the ai seems to use them very well
That Hellbringer build gives strong MWO vibes. Pretty exciting that you can add Ferro and Endo to it in MW5 though, really opens that mech up to more options for weapons.
hell yeah I remember when I was ten loving the mechwarrior 2 codex thing with the cool drawn mechs. Hellbringer and the summoner are prob my favourite looking mechs
Hey Bara, you can paint the Hellbringer, you just have to do it individually because it's not affected by the "apply all" on the paint mech screen when painting another mech
Recently got myself an Adder (started a new game with your mod collection), and I found I could just barely fit 2 Improved Large X-Pulse Lasers on it thanks to all the fixed weight savings. Can't mount anything else, and the cooling is a little low for warmer biomes, but the precision damage those things put out in short-range mode is incredible. It regularly alphas Medium mechs out of existence. Paired that with a hero Jenner (the Oxide) mounting 2x SRM6s & 2x SRM4s for coop, and we let the AI lancemates get enemies' attention, then sprint in and shred everyone. The Oxide actually has a surprising amount of armor thanks to its quirks, too; ~320 and heavier on the torsos and arms, so it is way more durable than you'd expect. I just need to find a Clan XL engine and Clan Endo so I can fit a little more ammo on it. Even 1600 goes fast at 20 per salvo.
I know it's corny but I like the visuals on the light rifles. Especially on pirate mechs. They have the old ship cannon feel to them.. Lol. My favorite warhammer build is the black widow running 4 light rifles, LRM5 or SRM4 and 2 L lasers. Super fun.
I run the heck of of those ER L LASER (C). They do a crap load of damage to be 1slotter. Especially a tier 3 and up. Of course, I don't worry about weight so...cheatsinks is a nice mod 🤣
Being in conflict zones are why its taking so long to repair. Its also costing like 1 and half times more money. If I was gonna spend alot of time in a zone I would set up a little base outside the conflict to repair. Even jumping back and forth I think it would save time and money lol. While inside a conflict zone its prob way smarter to negotiate for your repairs to be covered! I feel like having a light/medium squad would be a good way to build up some cash when your low like this, go back to easier areas and build some bank before diving into conflicts or making/refitting mechs. I think your Hellbringer should definately switch to ER LLas or LP lasers. The kickback on 2 er ppc's AND the kickback from the LBX is all way to much. Downgrade the energy so only the LBX gives kickback would be waaay better. Use the extra tons for JJ. Or add back SRM Streak.
Hey Bara, do you remember that you never got a clan mech warrior when you took up a duel against the clans in your last RT play through? Maybe this getting the pilot will only happen if you are allied with a clan?
I don't mind the rebuilds. Gives me ideas on how to get away from MWO build mindset. 1 part away from my 3rd Hellbringer, such an OP mech in this game, and I stumbled across a Stone Rino. 2 clan gauss mounted over the cockpit and 2 large pulse on the arm. Just tears a part mechs...
Hello, is that a mod or is it part of the Rasalhague DLC when it shows Quirks for the pilots? Quite like the Hellbringer, Timberwolf and Summoner mechs. Really cool, old school stuff, and often they have those Guardian ECM or Beagle Active Probes. Really useful to have in a lance like... Cheers for the video Baradul, you always keep things interesting and your enthusiasm for this game is top notch fella 👍
if u missclick like with that LBX buy/sell, pls just reload, thats realy just not neccessary to endure, i mean in RL u wouldnt act like that in a trade either. (Edit: lol the second i hit post, i hear u say u got the money back and all is fine >_< still the point remains imo, if u have a misstake, no need to bear it when u can just aswell reload ^^)
It's always better to assemble a mech from parts and sell instead of just the parts. I've made 700mil+ just from doing that. Build for 600k, sell for 4,5,6+mil. You're not getting a lot cause you're messing with urbies and low level stuff. Build thr bigger ones you don't want to run and sell them
I acutely like the rebuilding more than the combat, sometimes.
Same……..
I've seen too much of this game by now to enjoy watching the combat
I loved watching the rebuilding and seeing you adjust your mechs.
Those targeting computers are _NICE_ !!!
Dropping a comment for the algorithm gods. Keep up the good work my guy 😊

I'm going through a tough time right now and I really appreciate your company and spirit when you play the game. You are a good person.
I may be in the minority but I enjoy the building and theorycrafting very much. More so than the combat, really. xD
Love the building. Don't always like the builds, but it's a process.

"This Hellbringer SHREDS!" Hellbringer furiously shredding heavy metal on a guitar.
I really Like the building parts. The longer the better! Improving mechs from the technical readouts was the most fun when playing p&p battletech as a kid.
Big German dude just went "squeeee" when he saw the Hellbringer, lmao
I'm here for the whole game, rebuild included. You make it entertaining! I like hearing the theory crafting. Thank you for the content!
dude i love the building! Never feel bad for taking your time with it.
Thanks for doing the rebuilding on screen. I love that portion of the videos!
Love Baradul but I always find it funny that even after 10+ runs of this game, modded or not, he isnt aware of some basic concepts. Makes me giggle everytime!

LBX10-AC, ERPPC? All you need is a LRM-15 and you would have made a summoner 😜

@melniborne not sure to be honest, I'd try various factions. Perhaps difficulty related?
@@Cenot4ph Cheers mate, will just keep on trying, to see if i come across it, thanks for your answers Cen.

Quick tip : when you strip a mech and are short or Cbill, you can take the armor out. It will get you money 😊

Best way to start the week end🎉

Hellbringer may not get much love in lore, but she is one of my fav clan mechs. Love the oldschool model here too

Personally I like watching the rebuilds, great vid!
I find building mechs kinda fun. I swear I spend half my time in game doing it.

Dual LB10Xs on the hellbringer with 5 mediums would be solid as well.

great video. was thinking both of ur tier 5 er ppc's would fit nicely on the hell bringer

- a die hard wolf
Loot pinatas...love it!

I'd suggest running Clan Large Lasers instead of the ER PPCs on the Hellbringer. You can shoot more without heating up as much. 😛
Bara.... You should place your camera next to the paperdoll... Its the perfect spot for all the screens...
Looks like you need a " Check list" before going into battle, checking OVERTONNAGE
I got one of these early in my game. Yeah, launching 60 missiles at a target is hilarious. Dont think the spread matters with saturation like that.

Would putting the Shadowhawk's triple LRMs in a chain fire group help it overcome AMS?
Rebuilding is all good with me 🙂
Yes, that's how you say Augustus in English.

Why do you manually strip the mechs just move them to cold storage and they are stripped for free
You think this is wild, the Hellstar is even meaner.

You rerally need to take more money points before missions, to have more to put into rebuilding mechs.
