I just got this with some store credit, do I shut the steam lid for rice? 35 minutes for 3 cups of rice is ages?? my old basic rice cooker took about half that time.
Once you click the super quick cooking function, it will automatically start. The LED screen will show lines, indicating that it's already operating and then it will show "0" once it's done. :-)
Can you use the steamer basket while cooking rice? I steam my veggies while cooking rice to save time. I dont know if that's possible with this rice cooker.
Oh yes Jeff, this is how I cook rice everyday. And FYI, I was talking about the "Sweet Cooking" function. I always use "sweet cooking" when I'm NOT in a hurry. And I only use "Super Quick Cooking" when I don't have time to wait. It will definitely make the cooking time shorter than "Sweet Cooking" and the quality of rice that comes out is pretty much the same, but I just don't want to use "Super Quick Cooking" everytime I cook rice as I believe it might affect the life of my multi-cooker in the long run. The thing is, they didn't put enough information about "Super Quick Cooking" in the manual, whether it has a downside or not, I don't know, but one thing is for sure, it will just make the cooking time faster than "Sweet Cooking". Sorry, I forgot to include "super quick cooking" function in my review, but thank you for the information.
@@Snackalicious The sweet cooking mode is to bake the rice for a while after it is cooked to make the rice more delicious. The fast mode will not shorten its life.
Sorry I forgot to mention that on the video. The manual says that you can use the "Super quick cooking" function when cooking rice. It will just make the cooking time shorter than "sweet cooking".
What are these timer, hour and min for? Please explain it to me. My mom pressed the hour button and she thinks cooking time takes so long.I don't know how to fix this timer to original.
You should only use the 'hour-min' button to set up a 'delayed start' or when manually setting the time when steaming, making soup, or preparing baby food. The timer will automatically reset if you unplug and re-plug the multi-cooker :-). BTW, when cooking rice, you should only press either the 'super quick cooking' or 'sweet cooking', then press the start button and it'll start to cook. I hope this helps :-)
@@Snackalicious thank you! Most of the reviews never mention this that's why i am leaning towards philips where they say has thick pot. Knowing midea also has thick pot i might go for this. Thanks again!
Hi! I'm planning to buy this type of rice cooker. Quick question, for the keep warm feature, does the cooker need to be plugged in for the keep warm feature to be functional? Also, how do you reheat the rice? Is it the same process? Thanks so much!
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes, to use all the functions, the rice cooker needs to be plugged in. To reheat the rice, you can use the "Cold Rice Heating" function, make sure to put a little bit of water (I usually put 1-2 tbsp of water for each cup of rice).
Pinag iisipan ko kung ito or yung tiger brand na rice cooker ang bibilhin. Medyo malaki kasi price diff. Matagal ba manatili yung init nya? Yung tiger kasi matagal mawala yung init. Thanks
If nakasaksak po kahit tapos na ung cooking time, magreremain pong mainit yung rice.

No need to set the timer po. Usually less than an hour lng po yun.
Yes super sulit po. Ginagamit ko siya everyday, and most of the time twice pa kada araw. So far wala naman pong issues, parang brand new pa po 😊 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Yup you can set a 'delayed start/ timer'. After plugging it in, simply press the ‘Timer’ button and use the + and - buttons to set a later time (The max time you can set is 24 hours) for the cooking to begin. Once the time is set, press start and the count down will begin. :-)
We love the rice cooker, it is for sure one of the best rice cookers out there 10/10 for us.
Thank you very much for the review, your voice is beautiful and very pleasant to listen to.
