❤ Another day without a break, notice how easy he makes it look, jumps on a 4 wheeler, calf in arms, camera in hand, and drives away. Then its a family day at the shoot. Farmer Tyler you win the award in my book. What more can I say !🎉
That's farming. You really learn how to be adjustable 😂😂. "The plans of mice and men" always comes to mind as I watch my plans blow in the wind most days. I keep reciting the poem to my stock. I can live in hope 😊
I think I speak for all 123,000 of us when I say THANK YOU for your videos and allowing us to join you on your journey as a rancher! If I were able to hit a button and get you 2x the followers, I would hit that button a thousand times!
Count me in for this THANKS too. I'm not physically with you, but I'm with you supporting you. Ty, it appears you and Larissa are doing a GREAT job on the ranch and with your children.
I found your channel today, I saw you with that little “lost} calf and i stayed to watch another one. I subbed. there is something so sweet about newborn animals. I was a city girl and i married a sweet country boy 60 yrs ago, His parents raised whote faced herefords, it was a small family ranch , and my father in law worked full time as a lineman until he retired. We were married for 54 yrs. We didn’t live with his parents, but llived close enough to see them often and go home for visits I learned a lot about raising cattle, ad living in the country. I miss my family so much. ‘they are all passed away. . I really enjoyed watching you. rescue those calves and the Mama cow. and how your kids are learning to help. it brought back good memories. Thank you. I am glad you can stay home full time ❤
It means a lot to your subscribers to be a part of helping support your farm family. We appreciate you for your honesty, your values and your gentle heart. Know that you are surrounded by love ♥
Great job handling calf, 4wheeler, camera and bringing in mama. Your cries sounded very authentic and she responded well. You sounded very distressed. Great job as always!
Just needed the right caretaker, and he got it. Well done. Thanks for enduring the filming process throughout so that we can see what needed to happen.
We are ALL so happy that you were able to quit your job and Farm Full-time!! I can't tell ya enough how adorable your daughter is!! Love seeing her reacts with the animals. She's a real sweetie!!
We had a cow with an udder like that and every year we'd have to get her in the chute and milk her and train the calf to put it's head lower. Love this channel Tyler!
FTR, your Grandfather has taught you well. I sure he would be proud of your ranching accomplishments. Very nice to see the rest of your family there to see and understand how mother cow and calf need each other for life to exist . 👍👍👍🇺🇸✌🏻🙏🏽😎
You can't get the new chute operational soon enough! She definitely had a big bag, I know you were concerned about mastitis! As soon as he got the first taste of momma....the lights turned on! Good post, Great to seen the full court press with the entire family!!
Tyler, your instincts regarding your animals are amazingly accurate - proof that you’re where you’re supposed to be. You made some wise choices. That includes taking the risk to ranch full time. You’ve become a lesson to us all. I had the same good fortune in my career. I just wish everyone could be as fortunate.
Great save with the calf! I can’t believe how big her utters are..all that milk! I know she had to feel so much better afterwards 😂 beautiful baby as well, can’t wait to see more!
@calebmanuel17 FTR has mentioned the poor condition of her udder in the past and after this potential disaster, I’m guessing she’ll go to the sale barn.
Well, you guys were thinking about a milk cow. There you go :) She even stood still for much of the milking. She'd probably be even more willing if she had food at the time. Wash her up beforehand, finish up with an iodine teat dip, and you're good to go. A good trial to see if milking a cow would be feasible to add to a routine. There's nothing better than fresh milk! Also very glad to support the channel as a Patreon member. The content is great and it is fun to be a part of it in some small way.
So good to watch a real farmer follow his God-given instincts and save the calf and the cow , who could've developed really bad mastitis in that blocked teat !!! So brought a smile tk my face as I i saw my Dad addressing that blocked teat in exactly the same way as you Tyler. Such a pleasure to watch and support your channel as you and your wife teach your kids the ropes of good farming 🇦🇺🤗🙏💞👍👌✌️👏🇺🇸
Years ago, I bought a cow like yours. I named her Nanny as I could put 3 calves on her besides her own. I was buying day old Brahmastiens and raising them for beef resale. The cool part about the story is that Nanny was a Hereford.
That was such an engrossing video! I just marvel at how you know just what to do in these situations, even if it means taking the calf for a drive in the ATV! I’ve been feeling sorry for the momma cow with the huge udders; poor thing seemed to high-step to avoid walking on her teats. It’s wonderful how putting her in the chute worked out, feeding the calves and giving the momma some relief. I’m sure hoping for the best for the little calf. 🧡
Hello! I'm new to your channel and wanted to thank you for saving this calf. Much respect to you for farming and keep that part of the American dream alive! ❤
Great save, FT! I had a goat with a huge udder like that. Her newborn kids had a heck of a time latching on, and then they only nursed off of one teat. My neighbor milked the other one out and got a half gallon of milk from it!
"Daddy, you've got a poppy squeeze chute." Priceless! So cute. I'm glad the little calf is going to make it He is a very pretty color. Wow! That momma must have some Guernsey or Jersy in her? That's a big udder for a non dairy cow! It looked creamy too!
Great morning from New Mexico farmer. I find that I'm nervous to watch the channel during calving season. I got your back when it comes to the hard choices you make. Stay great.
Not only was the calf happy to be able to get a drink I am sure Mama was also very happy to have been milked out as that bag would have been starting to get very sore. Tyler the time you have been able to spend with all your cattle since you have been home really shows when we see how all the cows act around you. It was natural for the Mama cow to want her calf and be a bit upset about her calf being taken but she did go into the crush once she knew where you wanted her to go and she was not trying to kill you once she was back in the pen with her baby. Even the steers from the Winter pasture are so calm it is a testament on how calm you are around the cattle and the time you just spend around them during the course of a day. I sure hope the little man makes it; it is amazing how quickly they can go down without Mama's milk but also how quickly they can bounce back once they get the milk again. If those back bags are still as big as they were, I would get those bottle babies onto her just so she does not develop mastitis.
Wow Farmer Tyler, you are experience and quite knowledgeable about farming and your herd. Had a joyful chuckle to see you and the calf looking towards the direction of the chute. Very cute. Any artist out there to sketch Farmer Tyler and calf at 9:44 ? Will sum up one of many job responsibilities and make for a great wall plaque.
Very thought provoking video - much depth. You provide something invaluable to me. A touch to my past, a gratefulness for it and the world of hard work and caring I continue to have because I grew up and worked with the land and the animals. I have got lots more learning and growing to do, but am most humbly grateful for my upbringing. Thank you for keeping me in touch and for the depth you have.
So glad you caught it when you did. If you were to try the bottle calves on her, she might would be a good one to take on any calf that needs her. You might never have to feed a bottle calf again. Yet, bottle calves are fun, too. lol
Such a blessing that you are able to work the farm full time. You are very attentive to the cattle and calves. I fear this could have turned out bad, but glad you were able to help the calf and mamma out.
❤❤❤ another video where I can’t quit smiling! God bless y’all Oh and Mrs FTR, I believe that sweet talking helped that mama!😂💕🙌🏻 you are doing a great job raising those kiddos! I hope you have a whole “herd” of your own!!😂😂😂😜 good parents beget good citizens! And farm hands! Haha!
It is amazing how things work out. I was traveling and instincts had me change routes. Unfortunately I hit a large buck, I was upset until the vehicle behind me returned. A young boy (3or4 years old) was on the front seat riding in his mothers lap. Who knows what would have happened if their vehicle had been the one hitting the deer.
This is Awesome. I pray he keeps turning for the better. Your little inspector had me cracking up. Your shoot has Poopy on it. 😂😂😂😂😂Love the kids are getting big enough to check out what Dads doing . ❤️❤️
Tyler what a great listen today for the kids about what it takes to care for animals. More children should have this type of experience. Enjoying your channel
Yes! Trust those instincts. Even if it turns out to be nothing, you’ve just wasted a little time, but the alternative, as you said, could be a very bad outcome. Glad all is well with that gorgeous Riveter calf!
Way to GO Tyler, It is so Exciting watching U do what U know. Always good seeing the Kiddos and their responding to the way U handle the Cows a d Calves. Keep up the Great Work, U Rock!
Tyler, great job. Funny though carma always works against us. Putting in a new chute, and you have to use your old one more than you thought. It's funny how it always works that way.
❤ Another day without a break, notice how easy he makes it look, jumps on a 4 wheeler, calf in arms, camera in hand, and drives away. Then its a family day at the shoot. Farmer Tyler you win the award in my book. What more can I say !🎉

Good job Sir.!!!

That mama has to be more comfortable after you milked her! So glad the little one looks better. ❤❤❤
Tyler you definitely have a side hustle opportunity doing calf wailing voiceovers

love love love seeing his family engage. and that sweetie loves to repeat what Daddy says, making sure she gets it right.
This video just is an example of how ranching is a multi task job. It takes a great rancher to succeed. 😊
You are such a patient, hard-working farmer. I love how you notice everything that's going on on the farm. I think you were born to do this. God bless
I love how soft spoken and gentle you are with your animals. 😊It makes my heart happy! ❤
The animals sense it too. They trust him. Damn good stockmanship. A very underrated skill.
You clearly didn’t sound pathetic as a calf. That mama ANSWERED you and she came running in! 🥰
he did too, and worse. lol
On the one hand, poor little white calf getting tagged. On the other hand.... buddy.. come on haha. So cute. Thank you Tyler!
She’s a good Mom. The innate caring instinct is amazing to see.
That view of the home ranch at 1:45 is beautiful!
Tyler to the rescue, hopefully this large calf will continue to survive and thrive.
We had a cow with an udder like that and every year we'd have to get her in the chute and milk her and train the calf to put it's head lower. Love this channel Tyler!
This calving season has been a rough one for you! Thank you bringing us along with the good and bad. Love seeing the family with you in the videos.

This vlog was like a movie, chilling bro. You saved that calf
Great save with the calf! I can’t believe how big her utters are..all that milk! I know she had to feel so much better afterwards 😂 beautiful baby as well, can’t wait to see more!
This’ll be her last calf
@@anneoreilly4900why?
She has one udder and 4 teats, just so you understand the correct terminology.
@calebmanuel17 FTR has mentioned the poor condition of her udder in the past and after this potential disaster, I’m guessing she’ll go to the sale barn.
@@anneoreilly4900 oh god sorry to hear, well it’s happens if time to go, she has to go feed the world

Maybe invest in an actual milk bucket so when this happens you can milk them out easier in one go? 😁❤️
Beautiful calf glad you listened to that voice!
That voice in your head is called intuition. Lovely calf.
Years ago, I bought a cow like yours. I named her Nanny as I could put 3 calves on her besides her own. I was buying day old Brahmastiens and raising them for beef resale. The cool part about the story is that Nanny was a Hereford.
Excellent videos, we watch as a family instead of regular TV.... very interesting and informative.....
really interesting to see the colour of the calfs from Rivet - wasn't sure how many grey calfs we would see
You did good! That baby calf is so cute ❤
I just love how kind you are to your animals.
Man that last scene of your pasture was like a picture just absolutely beautiful
Good job with the calf

I always like that look of realization in their eyes when they realize its milk and it tastes good.
I really like how you have the kids out there. They learn by watching mom and dad. And you get all the poopy reports too. Thank again.

Glad you found the little guy.
You were so good and kind with both momma and baby! God has placed here for a reason! Many blessings to you Farmer Tyler!
Great job, Tyler. You are a credit to the family farm community!

I can't believe how much milk you and the calf got. I have watch cows get milked, but I was still surprised!
why 4 teats but single calves the norm?
Your little girls commentary is so sweet! Such a fun age.
Just found this channel already loving your contents. My new favorite TH-cam channel. Please do keep updating about the bottle calves.
Man that mama definitely got some relief!
I was thinking several days back that the 2 bottle babies should nurse off the cow. Very glad you decided to bottle the milk for them.
I'm glad you can do it full time now keep up the good job😊❤
Seeing Momma behind you the last few minutes looks like she's thanking you 😊
Every time I watch your videos it's like spending time with a friend. Thanks

Great video Farmer Tyler. There's nothing more adorable than new calves, except your own babies.
It’s a pleasure to see how well you care for your cattle. Love calving time.
Beautiful calf. I see a nice cowhide in the future!👍
I love it when the wife tells him what to do. (Why don’t you catch it?) even little Macy tells her dad what to do.
