I have a feeling that the man in the mask is either Ronnie or Eddie because last episode when they asked Hunter who he was, he said "You wouldn't believe me if I told you", which leads me to think its someone they assume is dead. Eddie was pulled into the singularity as it began to open after he supposedly died, and Ronnie supposedly died after he disappeared when he and Stein separated in the middle of the singularity to close it. Neither of them have ever really been confirmed as being dead.
Theory: what if the man in the iron mask is Eddie and the hole flash team are shocked when they find out its him but then he goes on to explain that he is Eddie's doppelgänger from Earth 2 and that he is also earth 2's the flash but zoom took his speed.
they definitely need to make that explosion cause effect on wally and jesse if they want to make something interesting out of these characters, otherwise they will be pretty boring for another season…

Plus these are the writers from the first two seasons of arrow(when it was good) so they don't make romance the focus of every SINGLE scene, unlike uncle guggie.
