Ledaig 10 is really hard to beat at its price point.
The best way I can describe this delicious liquid is peanut brittle in a bottle.

Thanks! Ledaig is killing it, so good! Rioja cask isn't available in my market sadly, nor is the 18. But the 10 is dynamite and we get a ton of Ledaig Independent Bottlings so that's kept me pumped on Ledaig. One of my absolute favorite distilleries right now. Cheers 🥃

Thanks Chaz! Alot of work to have things set up(learning to edit, logo design, all of the little things). Like alot of things in life the hardest part is starting. Still work, but we kinda have a rhythm starting for making a video now. My partner is behind the look of the channel. She's great with editing, art, and any small details. Without her, this whole operation would prolly look pretty shabby!

I've never understood the relationship between chill filtration and 46% ABV.
My understanding is that chill-filtration helps remove lipids which cause flocculation. Floculation will occur when a whisky is cold, like with ice or chilled glasses. 46% is important because it is typically the ABV where the whisky will remain clear regardless of chill-filtration. Some cloudiness can still occur at this ABV but less likely. Essentially, 46% is typically the point where most would choose not to chill-filtre the whisky and leave those lipids in the whisky that deliver alot of flavour and texture.
Quick question: Where can I locate the bottling date for my bottle?
Distell bottle codes are tougher than most. There should be a faint laser code on the rear lower right hand side of the bottle. I usually search those on Whiskybase to find bottling year/date. That said in 2018(I believe)there was a labeling change which helped to differentiate between new and old batches. Hope this helps!
