This is the first time I got invited to Michelin Pilot Sport Experience.
It was overall a great and very professional world class event. I got to experience all kinds of motorsports circuit, rally, LE MANS as well as Formula Car. They also taught us about Tire History and Experience wet surface harsh braking test. Many thanks to Michelin for inviting me to this event! I hope I can come for this event every YEAR! :D

How did you get into motorsports ?

It was a coincidence! I had what's called a rear-wheel car (Nissan 180sx) - it's a type of car that produces force from behind. I was at the mechanic’s when this person approached me. Admittedly, he was surprised to see a young girl with such a car but he told me that I should consider drifting given that I already have the car for it. It may seem a bit of a funny story, but fate intervened as this stranger felt compelled to change my world as I knew it. He offered to teach me to drift. In return, he asked me to design his website for him. It was like an exchange of services. Everything I know about drifting and racing I learnt from scratch.
Starting out with the basics of drifting which were the 'doughnut' and the 'figure 8', I was then encouraged to take part in events to widen my knowledge of the sport. It was valuable advice, given that exposure and experience form the basis of what I so proudly known to have mastered today. The events were an excellent form of exposure for me as more people became aware of my drifting abilities. I was even headhunted at some of the events. I was approached by an Energy Drink brand who wanted to sponsor me as a racer, not a drifter - another lucky coincidence!
Upon learning everything I could about drifting, I began to branch out and decided to explore other forms of racing, namely rally racing, autocross and gymkhana, a form of motorsport that aims to achieve the fastest impossible by memorising the race course. I also chose to dabble in go-karting. My aim was to develop myself to be an all-around racer, a jack of all trades
How would one get into them and is there and age limit?
Fortunately motorsports is very open and no age limit given, as long as you are able to pass the health check which tests on your eye sight and reaction, and overall health (blood pressure/sugar levels), Anyone can join motorsports. I’ve met really young racing drivers who doesn't even have a driving license yet and I’ve met some veteran racers who are still active and fit to race endurance racing.
