Personally, I enjoy housework. It's a way to express my gratitude for what I have been blessed with. I can also inventory what I will continue to keep and what I can donate to others if not in use.

I have been keeping on top of my cleaning routine as of late and it makes me very happy. I came home after a long and demanding work day and when i entered my tidy apartment i instantly relaxed. I even had dinner pre-cooked so i only had to heat it up.

I am in my 70s and my routines have changed many times over the years, but I've always had them. It is much the best way to keep up the maintenance on your house.

Life in Southern Europe is so different!!! I cook all the meals, I never needed a drying machine🌞, I clean the dust with a cloth, I iron all my clothes...I enjoy your videos and it's always interesting to see how other people have their routines.
I keep my home minimal and tidy. Everyone thinks I spend hours every week cleaning. I only spend 1.5-2 hours a week maintaining with a regular deep clean seasonally. I borrowed one of your cleaning ideas a few years ago and it stuck. Thank you for the great content!

I was curious to see your laundry routine. Now I know why you love the laundry in the basement. You can wash all your clothes at the same time and then also dry them afterwards, in one go. That’s very practical. You can’t go wrong with a cleaning video, we all seem to love them! Thanks. ❤️

Hello from Texas! I enjoy your videos and appreciate all the work that goes into it. Recently I had to hire a cleaning company due to my own health issues plus I am a full time caregiver to my husband who has dementia. After 9 years of caregiving I will enjoy three weeks of respite care and will see my family in Europe. The highlight for me will be a 3 day stay in Stockholm starting August 13th. A dream come true. Thank you for all the ideas on what to do in Stockholm. I hope they offer shipping to the US! Thanks to you I have a long list lol. Please keep posting your videos. Cleaning routine 🤣oh well, I have more routine than I think I have. It stormed here, and the cats came inside with paws full of mud. Cleaning my floor it is. I have solar power, so wash and dry it when it is sunny, and put it away the same moment it is dry and folded. I don't like a dirty kitchen, etc, etc. I must admit my routine is made by my schedule, cats, nature, and life. 😻 thanks for the video.

Thank you Benita for creating what I know will be a video I rewatch to get myself in the mood to clean. Love the Cody Francis music which I discovered on your channel as you have used him before. I will often put on the same music as you just to keep myself going in cleaning mode! I recently went through my apartment and did a nice decluttering/cleaning which was great (due to company coming of course). I love it but the hard part for me is keeping it clean and organized. I get a lot done waiting for the water to boil or for something to come out of the microwave -- that's a big part of my strategy. I've been watching your videos for years and have to chuckle at how many I've been inspired by, and have found within them items that I've purchased that I love. It's wonderful indeed to find joy like this in life's simple things.🤩

Hello Benita! 😃 It has been a very hot and humid summer - my plants are loving it! ❤ I give them their evening shower and they are so beautiful right now. I have a scheduled laundry day, but I actually would not mind having to do my laundry outside of the home - having my washer/dryer makes extra laundry during the week. I typically am doing the laundry on Saturdays, but I do some 'mini' loads during the week. Saturdays is a general day for cleaning and tidying up - then having my Sunday to rest or do other things feels good. I do make a list for cleaning because I like to tackle the big jobs in 'chunks' - I am someone who really enjoys cleaning. Thank you for another video - enjoyed this very much! Have a great week! 🌸💮🌸

I was waiting for a Benita Cleaning Video, what a joy to see one pop up today. Everything you do is done so well, there is something so calming about your videos, love it. Your my favourite You Tuber, Love those white gloves, I need to look for a white pair, I have the same toothbrush. There is certainly something to say about having our homes tidy and clean and organised, it clears our mind, makes coming home so good. Your machines in the basement are realy big love the size and that's its away from the main bit of the home your home is immaculate. Nice to have a routine .our beautiful dog of 14 yrs had to be put down sat .our hearts are broken I've put off hoovering this week as I can see her hairs and know when I've cleaned hoovered and steamed the floors her smell will be gone .sooo sad .but obviously had to be done very soon .on a happier note.your video had inspired me to clean my washing machine draw know it's needed to br done but I'm going to do that right noe thank you x

Wonderful video, thank you. I do not really have cleaning routine, but I try to clean once a weak. I do not enjoy cleaning very much, although it can be a very meditative work. But what I do take care of is a clean toilette and bath. 🙂 😊

Well, I try to get my washing dried outside, so the routine there is checking the weather app 😂. I borrowed the "little and often" spot clean from an earlier cleaning inspo from you 🥰. I aim to vacuum and surface clean upstairs on one day, downstairs another. It's all about the consistency, people! What ever works in my book, as long as the end result feels good and makes you 😊 🌼

That’s makes total sense to me☺️I have a weekly room routine, like you described it in your video, on mondays I always do extraordinary tasks, for example cleaning the laundry room etc…. It helps me to stay focused and calms me down…Inwish you a good week full of nice experiences and by the way I do use the same Dyson and I love it, we have a lot of staircases in our house and as the V12 is not heavy it’s a huge help! I love how clean and minimal your place is. While others say mine is empty I often feel like there is still too much going on. I recently moved into a much smaller space so I'm still figuring out how much colour, plants and pictures on to wallls it can take. I think it's the orangy-parkett flooring that kinda makes my living room too busy. I do have a tan/camel leather couch that I got in 2018 and that I love but this and the floor is a bit too warm for my taste. I do my washing once a week as well and I usually have 1-2 loads. 1 clothing (always), 1 bedding anf towels (every other week) and one darks that need to washed at 60 degrees like undies, socks and cleaning rags (every other week). I hangdry most of my stuff except for towels. I tidy and clean as I go. Especially the kitchen needs it like twice a day 😅

I have never had a washing machine. When I recently built a small home just for me there is a space for a stackable washer .. but no. I use the space for the cat box!😂😍
I love the laundromat..every 2 weeks I do 2-3 loads all at one time.. dry all at same time.. so in the time one load would be finished at home, I’ve done multiple. Fold up and done! .. no daily torture. Plus, while things are going thru the cycles, I read, get a snack near by or just take a walk around the block.
I wear mostly black clothes (my preferred..or gray). I like to hand wash black. It stay’s perfect and my items last forever with the color intact. I just hand wash an item when I take it off and hang to dry in the shower.
I watch these videos of women always complaining about laundry and never had an issue. With 2 small kids, I made it a part of our week. Seems like a washer in the home just causes problems!😂

You might consider adding up what you spend in a year at the Laundromat, and then multiply it by how many years you plan to do that.
@@jeanetteh.9240 interesting.. and I might do that IF I wanted a washer. But, I live alone, do a lot of my clothes by hand to preserve the color (o wear mostly black), and enjoy the time out doing this small chore. On the property my home is on, we ( my daughters and family live near me)
have well water and with the drought issues I also don’t want to put an additional strain on the system.
I know people who have the convenience of a washer can’t understand my enjoyment of the laundromat experience, but the few dollars I spend are well worth it for ME. And, since I was 19, I have not known any other way, raising 2 kids and all-snd judging from the videos I watch of women with families CONSTANTLY frustrated with laundry, I consider myself lucky because I have never felt bad about this job! (I’m 76 now, so I got this!😂)
And my little treats make the day special.
$20 a month and no aggravation? I think a win!

It is sooo important and in time. I'm an Ukrainian refugee who left my native home because of russian invasion... being in a new country with a three year old son, completely alone and live in a tiny room of 10 m2 I completely understand how important to keep all things at their place. And how good organization and cleaning make a difference! I still cannot create this feeling of home here...💔but I'm grateful that my son is at the safe place... without bombing and russain soldiers in the streets ...

For the past 3 years, I've been working from home and my condo is so much cleaner and nicer. I'm here all the time, so I want my surroundings to be nice all the time. I have certain days to clean certain things: Monday - patio and entrance; Tuesday - clean living room and kitchen; Wednesday - downstairs bathroom and bedroom; Thursday - upstairs loft area (my office) and guest bedroom/bath; Friday - laundry and grocery shopping. Saturday and Sunday are mine to enjoy.

As a single person how often do you use your dishwasher? Do you run it half full? If you wait until you accumulate enough to run a full load, how do you manage the dirty/ possibly smelly dishes waiting in the dishwasher to be washed? I've been watching for years and look to forward to new uploads 😊
I run it every third day or so. It’s not just me, it’s cat dishes too. I rinse anything smelly quickly but don’t wash it if that makes sense.

Love your videos. They bring me a sense of peace. Downsizing from 5 people ( 3 grown men now!) , 3000 sq ft/2 story in IN to 2 Adults, 1000 sq ft in a condo in SC ( no winter clothes needed), my routines have changed greatly along with my wardrobe and laundry routine. I do laundry twice/ week. One usually towels, rags, bedding and one each dark and whites. I have successfully broken my husband from using Paper Towels!!! Saving much from this alone! Now onto napkins! Also no more plastic if possible. Reusable glass and/ or insulated water bottles . try Benita! Have a great week😊🌏🏝

Vi har samma maskiner (två av den större + en tumlare och ett stort torkskåp) i tvättstugan i vårt hyreshus. De är verkligen effektivt med så bra och stora maskiner. Det enda är att maskinerna kan bli smutsiga ibland. Jag har börjat stoppa en enkel diskmaskinstablett i trumman när jag tvättar, vilket gör maskinerna riktigt rena och tvätten ändå fräschare.

I get mine at Granit and Åhléns. The LilySilk pillow cases I use are the Standard size. Slightly longer than the pillows but it works!

Are you still enjoying your Archie's flip-flops/thongs ( and whatever else people around the world call them). I am an American living in Australia. I was always so jealous of everyone who could wear other cute flip-flops - I would try them on and they would not have any support OR they would be uncomfortable between the toes... then I discovered Archie's and to my delight, they are wonderfully supportive and soooo comfortable. I am on a mission to tell everyone about the amazing Archie's. 😊

I love your home so much! I used to live in a studio flat by myself and kept it clean and simple, but I moved in to my bf's one bed flat, and it's been tough😅 I feel like I am alway cleaning and tidying after his mess! I ask him to clean after cooking and DIY but still work in progress... He works from home and he loves cooking, so when I come home from work, the flat is a mess😢 I miss my tidy and simple home! Also we are expecting a baby next month, so all the baby stuff are accumulating in our tiny flat ... I declutter time to time, but he likes to keep everything 😣 HELP!!!

I deep vacuum once a week and the rest of the week I vacuum with the robot vacuum for maintenance. The day I deep vacuum I dust and wipe down surfaces and mirrors. I wash my clothes in the weekday and my linens and towels on the weekend. The days I do laundry I clean my bathroom and do some personal grooming that takes longer, like exfoliation and shaving, face masks and deep conditioners. So basically I only clean twice a week and only for as long as it takes to do laundry. The laundry is my timer.

I’ve never changed, only washed them.

It's absolutely essential to clean for guests. Tidy and dust the guest room and guest bath (or the apt bathroom) and I like to add a little guest basket for them. Nothing too fancy but things we tend to forget at home like a toothbrush, some deodorant, a tooth mug, mouth wash, tissues, charger for phones, tiny shower gel and shampoo, a bottle of water and of course fresh towels. I have a washing machine in the apartment and a communal dryer in our apartment complex that comes in handy when washing big things that need to be fluffed up like down beds or down winter jackets.

I would simply ask my guest to let me know if they forgot something at home.
