    There can be no better example of a human being making the difficult choice between what is right and what is easy than this young man. May America someday deserve a hero like Edward Snowden.

    He seems like a reporter who is interested in the truth. Saying that you know where someone is is not disclosing their whereabouts. He merely answered the question honestly "yes I do know" and then asserted he would not disclose the whereabouts , but I am not going to share that with anybody.

    Detroit is an American city. VERY American. The former heartland of American industry. What you are describing is gang violence, which has nothing to do with "multiculturalism" whatsoever. In fact, engaging in gun violence over disputed territory is EXTREMELY American.

  • @Superabound2
    @Superabound2 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes, but it has nothing to do with gang violence in Detroit.

  • @Superabound2
    @Superabound2 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thats why people engage with the system politically and financially. Problems have to reach a certain threshold before people become violent. People engaging in political violence is a sign that the system itself has failed, and has either given too much power to those in charge, or not enough power to the people themselves to convince them that their problems can be solved peacefully.

  • @libertasoratio6916

    Where can I download Edward Snowden's documents?

  • @Superabound2
    @Superabound2 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Violence in any political system is due to the failures of that system to address and ameliorate the needs of the people. Violence BY the political system is a reaction to the unrest of the people, and the internal acknowledgement that they have no intention of changing the system to address the needs of the people.

    Dude, in the 20s these areas were dominated by Irish and Italian gangs. Italians might be somewhat new to the US at that time, but one has to admit that the Irish were one of the very first European groups that ever came to North America. There were Irish people among the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

    You could not be more wrong about black "assimilation." Hence, the tensions. As for the KKK, it has been riddled with government informants, demonstrating yet again the fact that multicultural societies are heavily surveilled.

  • @awc222
    @awc222 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    There is an argument against putting "good"
    people in gov't simply because of the corruptive nature of all governments. It serves liberty better to keep decent safe, open and separate from government. When gov't fears people there is liberty.

    Greenwald is an amazing speaker and Snowden a hero. Perhaps I am missing something in the puzzle why does the government want to see my email? How does this information help the corporations/government? I understand it helps google to sell advertising. I know this information gathering is NOT about terrorism or our security. Is it simply to repress the people further? If yes how does personal information repress the people?

  • @fredericbastiat1736

    "Lost your govt. in 2000." No, the Old Republic died in 1913 with the creation of the Federal Reserve system, 16th and 17th Amendments. Then came the New Deal and Great Society. Both parties play around the edges of that same system.
    If you think that the destruction of liberty (esp. privacy and private property rights) started in 2000, you need to find and read better historians.

  • @Superabound2
    @Superabound2 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes, and both of those groups conform to the reasoning i just gave. The KKK were members of a ruling class ideology that a) disproportionately held too much power, and b) were under threat of losing that power due to increasing Civil Rights for minorities. The Symbionese Liberation Army considered the current and increasing disproportionate incarceration of minorities (considering them political prisoners) to be an intolerable condition that could/would not be solved through legislation.

  • @Superabound2
    @Superabound2 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Multiculturalism is a specific sociopolitical policy about normalizing and preserving the cultural distinctiveness of multiple foreign ethnic groups, and does not apply to African-Americans. Black history is American history, they were successfully assimilated hundreds of years ago & retain very little cultural distinctiveness from their native lands. Italian Americans have retained more "multiculturalism" of their native homeland than black people have. Black culture is simply Southern culture.

  • @4teepee
    @4teepee 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    That is ahistorical. The reason is people are not interchangeable. Hence, repression is required.

  • @fredericbastiat1736
    @fredericbastiat1736 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    "That's right...social welfare is insignificant benefit." Huh? You just contradicted yourself.
    You admit that when people are removed from the costs of their actions that they make different decisions, i.e. keep breeding and breeding even when they can't afford the offspring they have at present.
    "Million handed out in corporate welfare." Non-sequitor to what we are talking about.
    Corporate welfare does need to be ended, but it's a drop in the bucket compared to overall welfare state.

  • @shamen2005

    (cont) but who is to blame is the American public and our silent support in allowing for these just massive buildup to our military industrial complex. It might be relatively harmless to us today, but tommorow it will only grow into more of a behemoth. But in every democracy whoever imperfect you always get the government you deserve, and if we let this stand unnoticed we to will have the government we deserve.

  • @Superabound2
    @Superabound2 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    No, the country's founding stock was from both Europeans AND Africans, with more being from Africa than from Europe. And yet, the modern day descendents of those Africans worship European religions, speak a European language, wear European style clothes, and receive historically Eurocentric educations. Most white people can tell you exactly which European ethnic tribe they are from. How many black people know where in Africa their ancestors lived? Black culture begins, and ends, in America.

  • @Superabound2
    @Superabound2 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    A white British man living in America is literally less assimilated into American culture than the average African-American. Piers Morgan is more alien and uncomfortable in American culture than say, Kanye West, who is quintessentially, almost comically and stereotypically "American". Jazz, R&B, hip-hop: these are all both extremely "black" and extremely "American" inventions. Anyone in the rest of the world would immediately recognize them as being "American". Black culture IS American culture.

    You dont understand what "multiculturalism" means. Multiculturalism isnt just "immigrants exist". Its a specific ideology. Gang violence in Detroit has nothing to do with that ideology. The only ideology behind gang violence is territorial control and acquisition of resources, forces that are common to all humans regardless of culture. Please go look up what "multiculturalism" is before we continue this discussion.

    > Good. Then let's see the conservatives openly support Snowden, Manning and Assange,
    Do you not yet understand that the Democrat vs Republican thing is a facade? They both vote the same. They both side with the state in all issues like this. They both are agreed on almost every thing that actually impacts your life (but don't get to vote on). But they argue like rabid wolves over inconsequential issues like gay marriage.
    It is theatre. You have been had.
