Thank you for this. I’m just in the testing phase and I’m all over the place with ideas and feeling scared that I’m not creative enough or I’m not nicheing down enough. Fearing how I will ever get people to like my candles when I can’t start off with the best labels, the best jars, the best of myself since I’m still learning and on a budget. This was so helpful for me. 🙏

I commented on another channel's video about how I think I'm ready to go from hobby to business and I was worried about niche-ing / theming myself out of the market before I start, and then YT suggests this video. Some good information here. It didn't really help with examing a niche itself, but still solid info.

I'm sorry if you've already answered this before but I'm making designs on Canva Pro and I'm worried about using them for my small business. Are you always just paying for the subscription in order to use their fonts and images?? Or how have you made it possible for this design to be your own? Thank you!!

From the research I have done, I don’t know if all of the Canva fonts/elements on the pro version are cleared for commercial use (I think some are but not sure) I purchase all of my elements and fonts separately and then upload them onto Canva to use in my designs. You aren’t able to upload any of your purchased fonts without the pro version. I’m also able to export my designs in a transparent png on the pro version. I hope that answers your question!

So I have a bunch of 10ml f/o samples I’ve received from ordering wax. I have no idea what to use them in. I’m new in the candle making biz. I want to know what I’m putting in my home and so I just figured there’s no better way than to just make them myself and know what’s in it 100%
Who would you contact if you wanted to contract out the candle pouring / manufacturing part of the business? Are there any factories inside the US, pref Los Angeles, California?
depends on your scale. I'd start by searching "wholesale private label candles". I found a few small manufactures that way, but ultimately decided I wanted to be in control of everything that goes into my business :)
I'm guessing that you use the metric system in your candle business for more accurate measurements. I agree with that. It would give you more accurate measurements than our American standard system. However, due to the fact that you are also running this TH-cam business, it becomes a road bump for you. When you announce that you work in metrics it stops the flow a little bit of what you are teaching. I think that you know this because when you say it your eyes roll in the video. I think you feel that speed bump as well. I thought about going to matrix because it is more accurate but now having witnessed this I will stick with standard American measurements so I don't confuse my customers.

Unfortunately I’m not familiar with that. I recommend getting a sample pack of different wick series and doing a bunch of wick testing!
