Here its Geto that keeps him grounded, but in current time he has to keep himself grounded at times because well...............sadness happened.
the clean space thing is more animation then anything else...infact it's competely animation as this season has a more simple art style which allows it to be more fluid and dynamic.
I love the new look to this season. Not that last season looked bad, far from it. However, this already has a more distinct visual identity which is gonna pay dividends.

Ds s3 ep1 is definitely more realistic than csm, the breaking of test tubes scene alone should be more than enough proof. Yeah I personally think the arcs animated in season 2 Hidden Inventory and Shibuya, also Shinjuku Showdown arc now in the manga seem like NOT coincident these focus the most on Gojo ... spoiler: his "awakening", his "crazy mode", the effect of his "absence", his "comeback". But I think more like in good way to be happening later in the manga. Hopefully.
