Equipping yourself with the right tools for the right job is essential for any DIY work at your home. I used to have a RYOBI wired electrical mower which is such a hassle for an area larger than 300 square metres. Since moving to a new region, our garden space(mostly grass) has grown to over 500 square metres.
I managed to sell off the old mower and bought this RYOBI garden tool kit which consist of a wireless electrical mower and a wireless grass trimmer from Leroy Merlin in France. Both run on the signature RYOBI ONE+ 18V system that includes using batteries from 2.0ah to 5.0ah.
In this kit, under the model number RY18LMH37LT25-250, it has the 37cm lawn mower(RY18LMH3A), the grass trimmer(RLT1825M13) as well as the charger(RC18120) and 2 RYOBI 18V Lithium+ 5.0ah batteries. All for the price of 419 EUROS which is an online hidden offer on their website.
The lawn mower can cover up to 575 square metres of garden space and can maintain the lawn height with its 6 cut settings from 25 millimetres to 75mm grass length. It weighs 14.5 kilograms without the batteries. The device also has a mulching plug as well as its 45 litres grass catching bag should you prefer to bag the grass clippings.
The string trimmer is run with auto feeding spools with 1.6mm cutting lines. The diameter of the cut is 25 centimetres and weighs at 1.3kgs without the battery which is considered quite light.
Overall, I'm pleased with the kit and it is sufficient for my garden space without the maintenance that come with those that run on petrol. I can even hook up an electrical cord should my batteries run out of power to finish up my task. On top of that, the batteries are compatible with my other RYOBI hand tools such as a hedge trimmer or the simple hand drill.
Lawn mowing is such a therapeutic experience with the right tools and definitely worth your money to invest in the right ones. After all, you are going to spend alot of time every 2 weeks using them.
